  • Red Heads Have More Fun

Red hair is as rare as it is beautiful. A vibrant color that always catches the eye, it's as equally breathtaking in its natural shade as in its artificial versions. Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan on the hit series Mad Men is almost single handedly responsible for making me want to dye my dark brunette locks a vibrant shade of red.

A hair color that requires a lot of upkeep, going red and staying red is a quite a commitment. It's also crucial to capture the right shade of red for your skin tone, whether it be warm-toned and coppery or on the cool side of the spectrum with purple undertones, etc.

Have any of you lovely ladies gone a daring shade of red? If so, any tips for making it last? Also, please share what you love about being a red head!

  • Ladies We Love: Emily Blunt

I was first struck by British actress Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada where she played the crabby and disgruntled assistant to Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. Blunt's character, Emily, managed to be a complete terror but completely loveable at the same time.

Needless to say, I loved her performance, but it wasn't until I saw her roles in The Jane Austen Book Club and Sunshine Cleaning that I became familiar with Emily Blunt's name and began to look out for her in films.

What I love about Emily Blunt is her spunk and versatility. She adopts each role and adds a little spice. She's the type of character to enter the scene with all eyes on her and completely steal the show from the leading lady.

Now that she's a leading lady of her own, Emily Blunt is taking the spotlight as a well-known celebrity. Not only is she engaged to The Office's dreamy John Krasinski, but she has several major films on the way. Yay!

Blunt's much anticipated The Young Victoria is being released in select theatres on Dec 18th. The film details the early reign of 18-year-old Queen Victoria and the love and passion she shared with Prince Albert.

A Victorian Era romance complete with period costumes? Yes, please! All hail Emily Blunt!!

  • Hot Trend: Bib Necklaces

Though the name may sound funny, bib necklaces are making quite the mark in the fashion world. Layered, chunky and boasting plenty of bling, these necklaces can make even the most bland of outfits effortlessly glamourous.

The trick to making this look work is to keep the neckline as simple as possible. A neckline that frames the necklace or serves as a flat, subtle background works best. Check out these bib necklaces found on the stars, the runway and on our models here at Lulus.com!

  • Movie Review: Julie & Julia

A movie that cherishes a love of food doesn't come along all that often. Therefore, it's a good time to appreciate the delightful flick, Julie & Julia -- a movie that will not only have you raving, but your stomach growling.

While this movie is about food -- and I mean a lot of delicious food -- it is also about self discovery.

Based on two true stories, Julie Powell, played by Amy Adams, is a lowly cubicle worker who can only looked forward to depressing call after call in her frustrating job. The thing that makes her happy is cooking and knowing that she can come home night after night, follow a recipe and create something tasty.

Investing in her love of cuisine, Julie is inspired by her husband to write a blog about cooking, but not just any blog: a year-long cooking challenge to make every recipe in Julia Child's famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

This is where Julia Child's story comes in -- the Julia Child before she became famous. This Julia, played by Meryl Streep, was a bored housewife in Paris. In a desire to use her talent and excitement for learning, she signed up for a challenging French cooking class. Here, Julia discovered her talent in the kitchen, as did those around her, all while her ever-supporting and ever-adoring husband (played by Stanley Tucci) stood proudly by her side.

Julie and Julia's stories meet in an interesting way that you'll just have to see for yourself :)

Ultimately, this story is about finding happiness and joy in simple pleasures. It definitely made me want to slow down, eat a few less take-out meals, invite a few friends over and cook a fantastic meal.

    Mmmmm....what's for dinner?
