Ladies, there are so many cute boot styles out this season, I can hardly resist!
Work boots have come out as fashion forward with kickin' chunk heels, cool wedges and mountain friendly attitude.
I just got these Tuson Boots by Chelsea Crew and I can't wait to pair them with all of my winter dresses!

These closed toe boots will rock through the winter in puddle-friendly black.
Wrap it, Strap it, and Fur it up!
We love all of the variations going on these days; fur on top, straps and buckles make for high-rise emmbellishments.
Over-the-knee boots are coming in even stronger than last year, and we'll be seeing them everywhere from the office to out-on-the-town!

2010Spring fever is in the air, and all this beautiful weather is reminding me that it is yet again wedge season!
Here are two looks from our LookBook show different ways that wedges can complete an outfit.
It's time to trade in your winter boots for some lighter, more comfortable wedges for warm, sunny weather as well as a night on the town.
My favorite thing about wedges are their versatility, comfort and the wide variety of styles they come in. So here are some Lulus.com wedges under $50!

Ahh, Venezia! Que bella!
Every year, this city of bridges and islands gathers in the Palazzo di San Marco for one of the biggest gatherings of New Year's kissers! The Palazzo di San Marco, being the biggest and most culturally relevant square in the city, is a great place to gather with your sweetie and snuggle up until the Campanile di San Marco, or bell tower, strikes midnight.
I would suggest making the effort to stay up to see the sun rise over the Adriatic Sea from the beach island of Lido, where the Auguri di Capodanno sulla spiaggia del Lido di Venezia takes place ... aka jump into the freezing cold water a la Polar Bear Swim.
Venice is high fashion, and the Palazzo di San Marco has no heaters outside. When I was there last year, the stone ground was iced over, so make sure to watch your step and have some cute walking boots like the Bamboo Follie 04 Black Mid Calf Riding Boot in Vegan Leather [sold out!] (great for going over jeans!).
Add a little bit of sparkle with the Kismet Karma Dress so you don't have to wear any metal on your neck. Again, it will be cold, so the Emma Pillsbury Coat in Soft Pink is a great piece to keep toasty in, and attract the eye of any cute Italians walking by!

2009Ahhhh, the holidays. 'Tis the season for families to reunite and exchange hugs and gifts. Long-lost sons and daughters will be returning home from college or out of town to enjoy a much appreciated home-cooked meal. This may be you, and this may mean you'll be hopping on a plane in the weeks to come.
But what to wear?
The dress code for flying has changed over the years. Flying was once a special occasion that required formal attire. But with the stress of holiday travel, airport security, flight delays and cramped cabin seating, those high heels and nylons may loose their appeal when you start to blister and itch.
Courtesy of People Stylewatch, we've got some great pics of celebs who, though having to travel frequently, manage to maintain their star quality and style when everything's up in the air.
Above, I like how Ashlee Simpson's look is so basic yet still a statement by topping it all off with a chic hat. Meanwhile, New Moon cutie Ashley Greene pairs an elegant faux fur jacket with skinny blue jeans for a warm and casual look. Rihanna keeps her cool with a stylin' black cap and funky work boots.
Taking hints from all these styles, my most put-together outfit for air travel would have to be: an oversized top, like the Euclidean Space Top by Brandy Melville [sold out!], skinny Kill City Jeans with stylish detailing, and a cute ladies fedora to top it all off. All this paired with shades will have you fightin' off the paparazzi like a star.
Now if you want to take flight the old-fashioned way, just take a look at Mad Men star John Hamm and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese. These two take the cake when it comes to style. Go them!

Boots: Over the Knee and Out of Sight

Ever since I saw Anne Hathaway sporting those thigh-high Chanel boots in The Devil Wears Prada, I knew my life was missing something.
Those old motorcycle boots I wore all last winter just wouldn't cut it. I wanted over-the-knee in every color.
Thankfully, Fall 2009 has seen a plethora of over-the-knee boots on the runway and now on the market. Perfect paired with skinny jeans or a sexy mini and tights, these boots will beg to be worn everyday.
So imagine my glee when LuLu*s ordered a variety of over-the-knee boots in various colors and textures for the fall season. The Jeffrey Campbell A-Plus Grey Patent OMG OTK Heel Boot [sold out!] is so daring and fun; it looks straight off the runway.
I happily took home a pair of the G O Max Jiera 01 Black Suede OTK or Cuffed Flat Boot. With a flat foot and a slim upper, this boot was just what I was looking for.
A fairy tale ending, if I do say so myself. Stay tuned for more boots in the future!
