The fashion-based illustrations of Canadian artist, Esther Bayer, are this week's homage to the inevitable (right?) arrival of spring. Taking inspiration from vintage magazine covers and little trifles like ". . . the colors of two lovely soft pink carnations that were sitting on my kitchen table;" how could you not fall in love with the soft colors and keen brushstrokes that are available in print form at her Etsy shop.

In a stunning editorial for Elle France, model Erin Wasson worked with photographer Fred Meylan to create beautiful bohemian images. Featuring denim, leather fringe and maxis, this shoot was exactly what I needed for some midweek inspiration. Take a look below for some of the best images!

I love the rustic background with the contrast of a maxi and tousled hair.

James Franco Shoots Agyness Deyn for Elle July 2011

Sometimes, you just see a set of photos that knocks you straight out of your chair. This shoot by James Franco, starring the beautifully androgynous Agyness Deyn, did exactly that. Casually browsing the internet, I came across this gender-bending shoot inspired by James Franco's catalyst to stardom, James Dean. Capturing a timeless beauty, Franco's photography is moody and rich in contrast. Always a fan of model Agyness Deyn, I love how these images celebrate her bone structure and stunning presence. Actor, model, filmaker...photographer? What other suprises does James Franco have up his sleeve!? Make sure to pick up July's issue of Elle for the hard copy of this amazing artwork. I love the contrast of the light wood-paneled wall behind the model. It really allows the saturated colors to shine and take center stage. During a semester spent abroad in London, I fell in love -- actually fell in love -- with the city itself.

Our relationship was not always a perfect one: icy weather, crowded Tube stations, and a lousy exchange rate. And yet, my time spent there was among the most enjoyable months of my life: special sunny days spent reading in Regent's Park, the exciting night life, the awe of finding a new neighborhood with beautiful historic buildings...and of course the fashion.

The men and women in this city know how to dress. The men look their best on a daily basis, sporting suits, ties, sweater vests and even cuff links, and the women are always ever so chic in their trench coats, blazers, boots, heels and stylish accessories.
