The current fall obsession over here at Lulu's is the wide brim hat. Being as it's still summer time we are rockin' the floppy wide brim a la 1970s, but for winter- the fedora is coming back, bigger than ever. Our inspiration for this trend? Hailee Steinfeld in True Grit.

Prada released their newest ad campaign for Fall/Winter 2011/12 last week. While you may be sweltering in the summer heat, you can look forward to pops of bright color, plenty of animal prints and a futuristic Mod influence for the coming seasons.

Photographed by Steven Meisel, we see the blush pink trend of spring combined with citrus and python for an absolutely sublime pairing . . . and knee-high making a comeback? Who knew?!

Trend Alert: Play with Grey!

Finally!!! Yesterday was the first rainy of the season over here, and I am ecstatic! Rainy days are my absolute favorite, because they mean hot chocolate and snuggling on a couch and yummy-smelling candles and toasty warm fireplaces!

(You know you want to be here.)

Best of all... rainy season means my favorite clothes come out! I am just a sucker for anything soft and comfy and easy, and if it's cute, then hey -I've the whole package! Lucky for me, one of this season's biggest trends is grey. This neutral color is so easy to wear because it matches with everything and comes in virtually every style of clothing!

Plus, you can pile lots of fabulous accessories on top!

If you need to dress up for a holiday party, you can always try something like Ashley Greene's romantic ensemble...

... or head out for errands in a chic, comfy maxi like Taylor Momsen. Throw on a long sweater for fall, and you're set!

Get out your metal detectors, ladies, because it is time to load up for the flashy new mixed metallics trend of 2010!

These girls were rockin' it at the Grammys, and everyone from Versace to Louis Vuitton to Christian Lacroix are pulling out the heavy metals on the runway!

I love the mix of gold and flowers. . .so gorgeous!!!

When I buy a piece of clothing, I like it to work for me. A well made garment goes a long way. This year Lulu*s has added more than a few new brands, and Tulle is easily one of my new favorites!

Believe me ladies, I get to handle these fantastic garments, and the craftsmanship is off the hook. I also bought the silk and cotton blend "Well Spotted" dress and I absolutely love it. I like that it's made from fine natural fibers, and the cut is flattering to the figure. I mean, what else can you really ask for. . .it even has pockets?!
