The much anticipated Victoria's Secret fashion show was taped this week and lets just say, I wasn't let down!
A fantastic lineup of super models including Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman and Erin Heatherton were scantily clad, but overly dressed in some of the most inventive costumes to parade down the runway for our entertainment this year. Katy Perry (and Akon) had a singing act dressed, of course, in the brightest Victoria's Secret outfit. Katy's get-up didn't look too different from what she normally wears but it was still fun to see her perform on a glitter staircase.
Not only is the amount of craftsmanship behind these costumes astounding but I have to say they must heavy as well. Despite balancing on the highest platform stilettos out there, these models didn't even bend under the weight!
Take a peek here and have a great weekend!

Is this blue hairdo and cartoon like styling a reference to Katy Perry becoming a POP SUPERHERO???

What do you guys think about Katy's outfit for the MTV MOVIE AWARDS????
I personally like the bright nails and the beautiful Zuhair Murad dress but not quite sure how they are working out together!!

Dita Von Teese, queen of burlesque and hot retro style, took in the sights and sounds of this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Dita spent the three-day event looking flawless in a variety of outfits that adapted retro glamour for life under a sunny desert sky.
(Left): I am in love with Dita's nautical-style, high-waisted trousers. Her updo is also rockin', managing a put-together look that is also casual.

(Above): From the mary jane wedges to the layers of bangles, this is Dita's awesome version of boho beauty. I love all the earthy tones on that tropical print dress!

(Above): Ladylike charm is what it's all about in this look. Soft satin ruffles, that polished hat and a pretty chain purse keep Dita looking elegant. Psssst, recognize that lovely lady with her? Yep, it's Katy Perry looking day-glo pretty.
What was your favorite Dita look?

I've always loved the iconic hair of retro pin-up model Bettie Page. Known for her short pixie bangs and curvy brown locks, Bettie's hair became her unique and edgy style accessory.
In short, Bettie Page bangs are cut to hit at about mid-forehead and curve up towards the temples of your head.
I've noticed this style of bang becoming increasingly popular among hip, fashion forward women. To me, the look carries cool, rockabilly vibes and can really make a girl stand out. At the same time, I would never make the cut myself.
Just a smidge above eyebrow length is about as short as I will go. I just know that a super short bang wouldn't flatter my face shape. While I admire the cut on a lot of women, it's still a daring look to pull off.

That being said, I've noticed that certain styles manage to capture the essence of the original Bettie Page cut while toning down the extremes to make it more flattering on different face shapes.

Above, I love how Katy Perry's bangs sit just above the eyebrow and curve just slightly up the sides, not sharply. Designer Maya Luz from this season's Project Runway sports the same style, keeping the bangs semi-short and mostly strait towards the sides of the head. I've been drooling over her hair all season (and rooting her on to win!) For both Katy and Maya, dark straightened locks and bold lipstick give the look a little extra retro boost.
What do you think? Would you make the cut?

Hey, ladies (and whatever gents happen upon our blog)! We have new interns, and they are going to be doing a weekly blog! They split up this week to explore the fashion trends at the GRAMMYS! Read below to see some of their favorite dresses, celebs, and trends. (You'll even see how to find one for yourself!)

Hey guys, this is Torrey and Michelle and we are two of the new Lulus.com interns. We will both be posting weekly blogs covering topics we find interesting. Check out our blogs and comment to let us know what you think. Hope to hear any comments you have!
Any performer's dream is to one day walk the red carpet of the Grammy Awards. The two most important things for any artist at the Grammys is their acceptance speech and their outfit.
Out of all the dresses that walked down the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards, the elegant backless style worn by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Rihanna were some of our favorites. We feel that all three of these artists pulled their gowns off perfectly, showing their back but still showing class.

Like always, Taylor swift looks beautiful in an off the shoulder backless blue gown from Kaufman Franco.

Katy Perry shows off her elegance in a backless beige and gold gown from Zac Posen.

Rihanna looks stunning in a high neck, open back white gown detailed with feathers from Elie Saab Haute Couture.

Hey everyone! What’s up, my name is Lauren and I am a new intern at LuLus.com. I’ll be doing weekly blogs as well so I hope you guys enjoy!

I thought Keri Hilson looked amazing in this dress by Dolce & Gabbana, she definitely was my favorite of the night. Fergie also looked gorgeous wearing a design by Emilio Pucci.

Jennifer Hudson looked stunning on the red carpet in a dress from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2010 collection. A similar look at Lulus, the Bye Bye Baby Dress [sold out!] makes a statement with a slim waistline and powerful shoulders.

Seen first in the 1940's and again in the 80's, shoulder padding and accents are once again making a comeback. Ruffled, sequined and blazed shoulders are all over the place, especially on celebs like Victoria Beckham.
The look is not only bold and eye-catching, but it can do wonders for your frame. It gives the illusion of broad, straight shoulders, making you stand tall just like a model on the runway.

To get in on the look, give our Karen O Top [sold out!], Beautiful Voice Top and Disconnect Top a try.

Thanks to our lovely lady of L.A., Kristin Knauff, Lulus.com has recently begun an exciting new relationship with DJ Mia Moretti.
Mia is photographed by: far left The Cobrasnake, center Nicky Digital!
Mia Moretti mixes a funky, fresh and instrumentally inspirational mix that keeps you on your feet. Resonating throughout her music is an eclectic mix of beats and songs that sample not only different musical genres but geographical and cultural backgrounds as well.
Mia Moretti's childhood in Berkeley, California, was spent in a hub of musical innovation: her parent's house. Moretti's family spent most of their time together playing music with her father on the guitar and her mother on the piano, accompanied by varying musicians and instruments.
The environment of experimentation with musical expression in which Moretti grew up seems to have influenced and shaped the constantly evolving ways in which she meshes her mixes together. Moretti's mixes document both the back and foreground of the international urban club scene and make her a comprehensive contemporary artist.
To top things off, Moretti has played with legendary musicians such as Debbie Harry (Blondie), Santigold, Katy Perry, Passion Pit, The Virgins, MGMT, and Mark Ronson. Moretti's "Hot N Cold" (Katy Perry) mix landed on the Billboard Dance Music Charts for 10 weeks straight!
Not to mention that Mia Moretti is not only a goddess of music (more like a siren calling forth the people to dance the night away) but she is a style diva as well.
Check out her newest video/remix of Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas" below! We are going to be featuring Mia Moretti as often as possible on our blog to keep all the Lulus.com girls up to date on her newest mixes and tour dates, as well as her fabulous style! FYI follow Moretti on Twitter as well!
Make sure that you see Mia Moretti's next appearance that is going to be in California at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival on the Hancock/ Santa Monica Blvd stage from 8pm-11pm on Sat Oct 31st!
