The fashion Oscars have arrived! The CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards were handed out last night! Celebrities, models, and (of course) designers gathered for the event!
The top winners included Marc Jacobs (my fav!) for Womenswear Designer of the Year!!

Rag & Bone for Menswear Designer of the Year.

Alexis Bittar was awarded Accessories Designer of the Year.
Other highlights of the ceremony included Ralph Lauren with the popular vote victory and Donna Karan celebrated her 25th Anniversary in the industry!
Time now for my favorite looks of the night. First up, Jessica Biel! Normally we see her in classic neutrals (borderline blah), but not this time! She wore a lively printed dress by Diane von Furstenberg. The dress complemented Jessica's glowing complexion and showed off her playful side. The big jaw dropper for me was Sarah Jessica Parker in an Alexander McQueen gown. The dress made her look like a butterfly with every shade of purple imaginable incorporated throughout the dress.

Who are your favorite designers?

If you've been keeping up with Sex and the City 2, then you'll have heard about the stunning looks seen at the film's different debut locations. Of course, no one knows how to turn heads quite as well as Sarah Jessica Parker herself!

Parker is fond of pairing gorgeous Alexander McQueen gowns with eye-catching Philip Treacy hats. Above is the look she wore to the 2008 London premiere for the first Sex and the City Movie. I especially love the combination of butterflies and green roses. It's so unique, whimsical and perfect for her soft chiffon dress.

This premiere's look, also in London, is a bit more risky and not my favorite. However, I still love a gal who can rock a daring accessory. Kudos to that!

Sex and the City fans everywhere are no doubt greatly anticipating the release of the second movie later this month. If I wasn't excited by the first trailer, the newest ones have me floored.

I don't know about you, but I'm already excited to see the new Sex and the City movie due to come out this May!
I thought the first movie did a great job at keeping the story of the show alive without making things way too dramatic or over the top. The core of friendships and relationships was explored in a meaningful way. I'm interested to see what happens in the sequel. The girls are pretty much settled down (except for Samantha, of course), but it looks like it's going to be quite the adventure.
When I saw the first movie in theaters, the place was packed, and I swore I heard the popping open of a champagne bottle somewhere in back. This tells me diehard fans will make a celebration out of the release for sure!

So I got a little "Carried away" myself and named this cute little Hello Lover Top after one of our favorite fashionistas.

No longer just a uniform accessory for school girls, knee high socks are making a big comeback this season for women of all ages. Spied constantly on the stars and repeatedly on the set of Gossip Girl, these socks are truly strutting their stuff!
The look is so easy, simple and cute. These socks especially make a great transition piece for fall, allowing you to transform shorts or a skirt into a colorful, weather appropriate outfit.
I love them paired with a sophisticated oxford heel or cute bootie, as seen on Blake Lively below. They also make a perfect couple with the growing trend of tall boots as seen on Victoria Beckham and Jessica Alba (below).

Available in many different colors and prints, these stylin' socks are taking the center stage when it comes to fall wardrobes everywhere. If you want in on the trend, check out our new collection of knee highs.
My favorites? The Argyle Addict Knee High Socks in Brown and the Kawaii Crocheted Knee High Socks in Teal.
Whether you're going out or staying in for Hallows Eve, cuddling up on the couch with a cup of hot cider and watching some scary movies with a couple of friends sounds divine. I've compiled a list of movies us girls here at Lulu*s adamantly believe are a must see for this time of year.
So call up the girls and pop in a DVD. There's mystery in the air. Halloween is on its way.
1. Hocus Pocus - Halloween wouldn't be Halloween with out this cult classic. (Amuck, Amuck, Amuck)

2. Practical Magic - Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are magical.

3. Casper - This friendly ghost is still cute and not so scary

4. Sleepy Hollow - This movie has just enough mystery without being too too scary. Plus, Johnny Depp stars. Need I say more?

5. The Adams Family - For when you feel like your family is dysfunctional.

6. Rocky Horror Picture Show - Another cult classic you need to experience at least once and then year after year after year.

7. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! - Because sometimes we need to feel like a kid again, even if we're too old to trick-or-treat.
