With spring fast approaching, shorty shorts are hitting the shelves left and right. I put on a pair the other day and decided it was still too breezy outside and by far too early to be showing so much pale winter skin.
The combination is so wonderfully simple. What better way to safely transition from chilly winter weather to fresh and sunny spring mornings?
The expert bloggers pictured here have mastered the whole jean short/tight pairing. I love it best with cut-off shorts or those with a cuffed hem. Paired with a loose top and a crisp blazer or crop jacket, the look is perfectly pulled together.
For footwear, try ankle booties or flats. Also, the addition of a long, chunky necklace adds the perfect finishing touch.

When I travel for music, I always grab tons of magazines for the road. I happened to grab a People Stylewatch about 6 months ago, and my eyes caught this really cute dress. It said it was from Lulus.com!
I'm a dress freak and a girly girl. When I got to my hotel room, I checked out the site and ended up buying a ton of stuff. I fell in love with lulus right from the start!
My favorites are the Love Fool Dress and my Miss Me jeans! I like jeans with a little bling!
Ever since I was a little girl, I was into fashion. I've never been afraid of color and I consider my look very classic. I have always loved wearing dresses. I think it's because I am a fan of the 40's. My favorite designer ever is Betsey Johnson, if that says anything about me.
I grew up a small-town girl who loves fishing, baseball and the outdoors, but I might be wearing a fancy dress while doing it. (Ha ha!) I'm the type of girl who wears cute stuff while I cook! I am a fan of women dressing up and feeling feminine!
As I get older, I've been doing a lot more accessorizing. I'm totally obsessed with scarves right now. I think I might have a hundred!
I'm loving the tights and legging with dresses. I think that will always be in style!
Music has always been a part of who I am. I was born singing, I swear. Been wanting to do this since I can remember.My music is very real and I consider my songs little stories of my life. When I write a song, I put my heart into it.
I started writing at age 23. I moved to Nashville at 20 and it took a failed relationship and just being away from my family to really inspire me to start writing music.
"Jack Of Hearts" was written about a boy that I fell madly in love with. It just so happened that when we were having problems in our relationship, a friend into astrology said that he was the Jack of Hearts. Apparently we all have a card that lines up with our birthday. Check out your card. It's so much fun!I wrote a little song about it anyway!
My favorite part of making the album was seeing my songs come to life. You are so much more personally invested when the songs are yours and your diary. My goal is to always move people. That's what music is all about to me. I consider it my gift in life.

Whenever I get a chance to peruseLookbook, THE most awesome street fashion blog ever, I am inspired and amazed by all the creative looks individuals around the world have posted.
This week, I noticed that quite a few Lookbook members posted outfits incorporating items similar to Lulus.com! I felt I should share some of my favorites, so you LuLu*s fans can get a little inspired as well. Here are my favorite Lookbook pics for the week!
Look 1: Black Floral Tights
I love the way Robynne Mc. from Vancouver pairs the tights with her floral shorts and lace up shoes. It puts the floral pattern of the tights in the spotlight. Our Posh Lace Leggings in Black [sold out!] will give you a similar effect.
Look 2: Ditsy Florals
These cute floral prints (as seen on our Love Me Do Skirt in Floral [sold out!]) have been so popular lately! Adding a black contrast to this material is really effective. Rachel I. from Detroit pulls it off effortlessly.

Wow, we were all crazy about these leggings when they came in. It takes a certain kind of confidence to pull it off, and Carina Elisa Dorothea H. from Germany has got it! Fall is almost here, and it's time to transition to tights, boots, cardigans and -- of course -- cozy flannel plaids. No longer just for lumberjacks, these new plaids are designed for a hip and trendy crowd.
