  • Have You Seen How I Met Your Mother?

If you've ever made a slap bet, sung along to "Let's go to the Mall," or been frightened by a cockamouse, then chances are, you've become acquainted with a little show called How I Met Your Mother.

HIMYM -- as fans so lovingly refer to it -- is in its fifth season, where the adventures of Ted, Robin, Marshall, Lily, and of course Barney Stinson, still have me absolutely hooked. The CBS sitcom keeps its fans coming back with a plot full of twists and turns as well as plenty of witticisms, inside jokes and fun-loving moments.

It's funny how many people are absolute addicts of the show. I just talked to a friend who did a "HIMYM Night Out," which included: suiting up, playing laser tag, going to a cigar lounge and ending the night at an Irish pub. Sounds like it was ... wait for it ... legendary!

Tell me what you love about HIMYM!!

  • Men We Love: John Krasinski

Girls young and old have been developing an unavoidable and devoted crush on one particular gentleman. He's not a bad boy with dark rugged looks, but he is winning hearts all over the globe.

Yes, his name is John Krasinski.

I first came across Krasinski in the NBC series, "The Office," playing the quirky and loveable Jim Halpert. I quickly became caught up in the Jim and Pam love story, always thinking, "Pam are you crazy?! What are you doing with Roy when you could be with Jim?!" Needless to say, I'm very happy to see the direction the series has taken (but I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't seen it yet).

The thing about Krasinski is, he seems just as charming and sweet in his day-to-day life. Engaged to the talented Emily Blunt and busy promoting his newest film It's Complicated, in which he plays a concerned and hilarious fiance alongside movie greats Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

The John Krainsinki/Jim Halpert condition proves one thing is true: suave bad boy crushes are officially out, as girls go gaga for the nice guy next door. Finally! The nice guy doesn't finish last.

  • Gleek Update: The Kiss

Okay fellow Glee fans, did you catch the last episode of the fall season last night? If not, stop reading this RIGHT NOW, go home, watch it and then come back and read.

For those of you who did catch the show, how awesome was the long-awaited kiss between Emma and Will?

Maybe the circumstances were a little less than perfect. Emma just got dumped and Will left his wife like the day before, but it was long overdue and much appreciated. My roommate and I practically gave them a standing ovation right there in our living room.

It's nice to see two of your favorite characters finally do what you've been telling them to do the whole season (like they can hear us, right?).

If you need to relive the moment like me, watch the clip below!

See you in spring for the new episodes!!

  • LuLu*s on That Morning Show on E!

For those of you who are acquainted with a little channel called E! Entertainment, you'll want to tune in every morning from 6 to 9 a.m. to spot some cute LuLu*s merchandise on the cast of That Morning Show. This fun and upbeat news program is just lovin' our dresses, and don't they wear them well?!

Pictured above (from left to right) is our Spectacle Dress in Grey [sold out!] and our Hilton Dress in Grey [sold out!]. Below is our As You Like It Dress (left) and our Fifth Avenue Dress in Brown (right).

We had the pleasure of chatting with the show's talented stylist, Lauren Valentine, about the life of a stylist and how she got into the biz.

How did you get started as a stylist?

I met a big time director who gave me the "in", and then I worked my butt off on my first film, Reservation Road, to prove to everyone that they needed me in this industry.

How is working behind the scenes at That Morning Show? It looks like you guys have a lot of fun.

It is fantastic! Mark Long is one of my favorite people. He is always making jokes and keeping things light.

What are your favorite aspects of the job? Any challenges?

I love being able to be creative with my job, and I love how versatile it is. Dressing nine people, with all different ideas and styles, does prove to be challenging at times, but is also so rewarding and worth it.

Do you try to have your wardrobe keep up with current fashion trends?

Of course. I am having a lot of fun with boyfriend blazers and the big chunky stilettos that are out there right now.

    Any costuming disasters or bloopers?

Yes! The other day, Chelsea’s skirt ripped in the middle of the show, but we just had to get creative and fake it the rest of the way through.

    Describe your favorite outfit.

Right now, I would have to say a super sequenced top with a boyfriend blazer, a pair of pegged skinny jeans and a colossal heel.

What would you recommend for an aspiring stylist?

Stay at it. It is a long, tough road, but it sure beats the 9 to 5 if you have a passion for fashion.

    Favorite item from Lulus.com?

The Brat Pack Jacket in Blue [sold out!] is a must-have this season!

  • Glee Your Style

A new fashionista is making her way to Wednesday nights on Glee! Actress Jayma Mays plays Emma Pillsburry, the guidance counselor on Fox's new series Glee. We couldn't help but gush about her character's adorable style, which is a combination of vintage, prep and a little whimsy.

On a school day, you'll usually find Emma sporting a feminine blouse, colorful cardigan, high waist skirt and an eye-catching accessory. This combined with her impeccably styled red hair and charming personality has made her a fashion favorite, winning the hearts of vintage-lovers everywhere.

Steal her style with similar items [sold out!] here at LuLu*s! Here's what I think Emma would be eyeing on our website after a day with the Glee Club:

  • Get Glee and Start Singin'

Keeping up with The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men and Project Runway, I hardly believed I had room in my busy TV schedule to get hooked on yet another show. However, some shows are worth staying up a bit later for.

I admit, I was a bit skeptical when Fox's Glee first aired this fall. Really? Another hour of teen angst? No thanks.

But...it turns out I was wrong. Glee makes me gleeful with its wit, humor and ability to poke fun at the cliched scenarios of your traditional high school drama. These kids are smart, talented, and underdogs. How refreshing. Even the head cheerleader and captain of the football team have their issues.

It all starts with McKinley High's Spanish teacher, Will Schuester, and his ambition to get the Glee Club up and rolling again. Incorporating the oldies, the classics and new pop songs with dance, the Glee Club starts making noise all over the school, attracting both praise and the malicious intent of cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, played by the hilarious Jane Lynch.

You can catch Glee Wednesday nights at 9/8c.  You don't want to miss it; I mean, where else are you going to see a high school football team start bustin' a move to Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies?"

  • Model Behavior: Meet Nikia Phoenix

If you've checked out our vintage section lately, then you couldn't have missed our newest model, Nikia Phoenix. With her signature freckles and gorgeous look, Nikia has been building a reputable modeling career, moving from the runway to magazines and now to Lulus.com!

I had the pleasure of interviewing Nikia and thought you guys would love the chance to get to know her better.

    1. Is being a model all it’s made up to be?
It has its advantages, and also its hardships. Being a model isn't always glamorous, but that's the portrait I paint when I step in front of the camera. I live the life of a starving artist, but it's what I chose to do. I may not always get paid for what I do, but I love to do it. Because of this profession, I've met the most wonderful people. Their creativity and drive encourage me to keep doing what I do.

    2. Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspiration is my family. They are so loving and supportive even when they don't understand me.  Everyone in my family is very spiritual, especially my grandmother. She's practically a saint. This woman willingly and unselfishly gives so much of herself. God always blesses her for it, and the blessings trickle down to the rest of us.

    3. How do you stay healthy, both body and mind?
A lot of meditation and discipline. I try to exercise everyday and read something other than news and blogs. The news can be very depressing, so I try to read things that are good for my soul. My boyfriend tries his hardest to make me eat healthy food. I'm from the South, where we fry everything, but he makes me steer clear away from fatty comfort food. Let's just be honest: there's nothing nutritional about fried chicken.

    4. What is your favorite splurge?
I'm actually pretty frugal, but I will splurge on good food. Dessert especially. Funny that this question comes right after the "staying healthy" one.  I have a sweet tooth. I know that if I overindulge, I'll be sick. That's why I always suggest sharing your sweets with the people you love. My sister and I always leave room for dessert, and eat it together (when I'm around, of course).

    5. Favorite movie of all time?
The Godfather, but I can't choose between Part One and Part Two. I love the combination of Al Pacino and Marlon Brando, and then Pacino and Robert DeNiro. I even quote the movies quite often, but few of my friends understand what I'm taking about. "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."  See, even gangsters know how important dessert is.

    6. What can’t you leave the house without?
    Chapstick. Preferably Carmex.

    7. What did you have for breakfast this morning?
A cup of Earl Grey and an English muffin. On the weekends, I'll go all out with pancakes, french toast, biscuits, etc.  Basically anything that can potentially be sweet.

    8. Any pet peeves?
Disorder and dishonesty. I can't work with chaos, and I don't like people lying to me. And I really can't stand it when someone leaves lights on when no one's in the room. A small lamp is fine, but let's not waste energy. I have moments of OCD when I go around turning off lights and rearranging things. Perhaps I need psychiatric assistance.

    9. Describe your perfect outfit.
A vintage soft t-shirt, colorful scarf, comfy slim-fitting jeans, cute heels and stare-at-me earrings. I can run errands without feeling constricted and go out for dinner without looking drab.

    10. New must haves for this year?
Over-the-knee boots and a cute leather jacket. You can never go wrong with a couple of classics.

If you want to hear more about Nikia (and I'm sure you will!), pay a visit to her awesome blog, Model Liberation, and also check out an interview with Nikia and her mom on the Tyra Banks Show below.

  • Mad Men Fashion

Congratulations to the hit series Mad Men in taking home the 2009 Emmy for best drama!

I've just been getting into the series myself and couldn't help but be struck by the gorgeous costumes and period pieces found on the characters. Set in the 1960's, the costuming here is pure vintage wonder. I wish I had every high-waisted skirt in Peggy Olson's closet and every darling floral dress that Betty Draper just wears around the house.

Perhaps I'll find a little something similar in our new vintage line...
