100% agree with everyone else, this dress runs VERY small. At 5'3 and a little over 100lbs, I ordered the XS. I've ordered other LuLu*s maxis in the same size and they fit perfectly so I ignored the previous reviewers and figured I'd be fine. The waist is tight and the top is almost an entire size smaller than normal. Thank god the 'straps' are adjustable and I can loosen it a bit. I also agree that the flowy part on top is too long so it sticks out and does not lay nicely. The pattern is gorg which is why I bought the dress and will be keeping it, but definitely size up! This is NOT sized like the other maxis on this site.
This dress is so pretty and I wanted more than anything for it to work for me but it didn't. I am 5'2 105 lbs a and I ordered an XS. Way too tight. I returned it and ordered a S and it was too big. The draping on the top is also longer than it looks in the picture and fell to my waist. It may work for some but definitely size up.
It is a great looking dress. I will wear it with a tan leather jacket. The ruffle on the top sits a little weird but it might have been how it was tied. Can't wait to wear it.
runs small. size up! looks great though.
I should not have have listened on the other reviewers. I'm an XS and sized to small, which I never do, but the other reviewers made me believe it's VERY small, but it's my belief this dress runs TTS. It's way too big for me. There's a gap behind me too. There is no way it's 53" either. I'm petite and mostly buy dresses that are 52"-54" long. Even with 4.5 inch heels, the dress drags on the floor. The dress itself is gorgeous though and provided you get the correct size, would look gorgeous on just about anyone.
I wish I had read the reviews first because the dress does run small. It was very cute on, but tight through the hips. Would definitely go up a size. I am returing the dress for a bigger size.
I'm bumbed I should've gotten this in a XL. I'm a D cup, it fits, but a bit snug...doesn't feel tight anywhere else but the front of my chest!! :( I realize now why the XL is sold out which is never the case...usually the smaller sizes run out first. I'll keep it though because it's do-able and the ruffle top covers any tightness in my chest area. I agree with the other post about this looking super cute in the fall w/a light jacket too :)
