Positive Vibes Only: Clear Out the Negative Energy with Quartz-Inspired Nails

Feel like you need some good energy and have some downtime? Clear quartz nails are pretty, boho, and so much more than a mani! Often referred to as the “master healer,” clear quartz is an excellent stone for clearing the mind of any negative thoughts or energy—something we could all use right? Right.

These striped quartz nails were inspired by the geographic angles and subtle sparkle of clear quartz clusters. Take some time out to bring a little sparkle to your life –and positive vibes–with the tutorial below!

Clear Quartz Nails

Supplies:

• White and nude nail polish
• Fast-drying top coat (I love Seche Vite)
• Shimmery accents (I love “Unicorn Flake” from Daily Charme) or glitter polish
• Thin nail art brush (I love the Orly Striper brush)

Instructions:

Step 1: Apply 1-2 coats of your favorite nude polish, wait for it to dry for at least 5 minutes between coats.

Step 2: Use a striper brush to apply 3 thin parallel lines starting at the nail tip. It’s OK if the first two lines are slightly curved to work with the shape of your nail, just make sure the final line is straight.

Step 3: Starting at the middle of the base of the nail, draw two straight lines in an upward motion until they meet the outer edge of the third straight line at each corner. Use these lines as a guide to paint a smaller V shape in the middle.

Step 4: Apply the unicorn flake with clear polish (or use a glittery polish of your choice) to the negative space that forms the V. Seal with 2 coats of top coat.
