There’s no shortage of cute hair accessories on offer these days, from clips to scrunchies to scarves and headbands–and I’m here for all of it. That said, a headband braid ( one made with your own locks) offers an easy way to channel your inner boho babe, no (hair) accessories required. Whether it’s for wedding season (this one’s perfect for boho brides, bridesmaids, OR guests), graduation celebrations, brunch with the ladies, or just mixing up your everyday hairstyle, this look is an effortless upgrade from your usual.
Want to learn how to do a headband braid? You might be shocked at how simple this sweet style is to achieve–just keep scrolling to watch the tutorial video and get all the instructions ahead!
Step 1: Pull face-framing pieces forward on each side.
Step 2: Create a small braid using a section of hair near the ear on each side. Then, secure the ends with small, clear elastics.
Step 3: Pull each braid across to the opposing side and secure them with bobby pins.
