this only works if you have fine straight long hair. i think you guys need to bring in some short hair styles along with more elaborate makeup tutorials
Thank you for the feedback! To achieve this look on shorter hair, you can skip step 4 and just wrap the topsy tail around your finger once, then use extra bobby pins to fasten any shorter pieces into the roll. Hope that helps!
Wow! I'm going to try this out! Thanks
Great for Flight Attendants! For safety reasons we have to wear our hair up if longer than to our shoulders. This is a nice alternative to a low pony. (We have to wear our hair lower rather than higher so that we can properly assume the brace position with our heads resting against our Jumpseats.) I really like that it takes little time and can look professional if smoothed and secured properly.
I think this will be my new go to hairdo! Thanks for the inspiration!.
Thanks for the feedback, Stephanie! We're so glad you found this tutorial helpful!
I love it...going to try it tonight for New Years Eve...thank you
I love this hair style. I can't braid me hair it never comes out right. In the hot summer months it will be rather easy and pretty at the same time.
How can I do this hairstyle in curly hair?
Mariana, you should be able to follow the steps we provided even with curly hair. Your final look will just be more tousled.
Do you take out the band once you have wrapped the first topsey?
Hi Tracy! You do not need to remove the clear elastic hair-tie. It actually will help secure the look and since it is clear, it will be undetectable under the topsy. Hope that helps!
when wrapping around your finger is the hair still being put through the split/topsy tail?
Good
