These Geometric Nails Put a Modern Bridal Look at Your Fingertips

The minimal, modern wedding aesthetic is very popular–and a sparkling, geometric nail design in gold and white pairs perfectly with a simple, understated bridal gown. If you love the geometric accents that are currently trending in wedding decor and want a mani that brings a bit of detail to your look, this sleek look might be just the thing.

Delicate colors on a nude background soften the sharp triangle designs, making for a bridal mani that’s both edgy and elegant. But this geometric look isn’t just for weddings, of course. Try it if you’re recently engaged or if you just want unexpected nail art that goes with everything. Either way, a modern manicure is at your fingertips.

White and Gold Geometric Nails Design:

Instructions:

Step 1: Clean and file nails to your desired shape, and be sure to wipe with alcohol (or acetone polish remover) to remove any oil or dust from the nail surface. This will help when stenciling off space with tape.
Step 2:  Using two pieces of tape, create a triangle of any shape and direction on the base of your nail. Press down so that you can use the tape as a stencil for your triangle design.
Step 3: Paint a coat of white polish where the stencil is, then immediately remove the tape. It should create a white triangle at the base of your nail like shown in the photos.
Step 4:  Repeat steps two and three on each nail–you can vary the shape and direction of the point of each triangle. This will create a different geometric design overall on the hand, with varying triangle shapes.
Step 5: Once each white triangle is completely dry (after about 10 minutes), place two pieces of tape in a triangle design, upside down and on the top of the nail. This upper triangle stencil should mirror the shape of each triangle beneath it. (See the photos for examples. The gold and white triangle tips should meet in the center and extend in opposite directions.)
Step 6: Paint a coat of gold polish where the stencil was placed, then immediately remove the tape to reveal your upper gold triangle design.
Step 7: Repeat steps five and six for each finger until you have a white and gold triangle meeting at their tips on each nail.
Step 8: Let your nail art dry for about five minutes, and seal with your favorite top coat!
