Meet the Golden Ticket Winner for 2013!

My name is Samantha, and I am 24 year old. I am currently a graduate student working on my Masters in Education, as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Although I have always been passionate about teaching, I have always been interested in fashion, beauty, and the many blogs my friends and I find on a daily basis. What was your reaction when you found the Golden Ticket in your package?
With New Year’s Eve only a few weeks away, my outfit planning has begun. I usually play it safe with simple neutrals, but this year I wanted to incorporate a little color. For the holidays, I love mixing dressier pieces with more casual ones to not look too formal. I decided on the Huntingbird Side Step Teal Blue Dress from Lulus because it was simple, yet had the subtle glamour that is always fun on New Years!

When opening the package, I was surprised to see golden confetti spilling out all over the floor! I was so shocked and surprised I had won the Golden Ticket Shopping Spree! I have never won anything before, and what a perfect time of the year for a little shopping.

When shopping, I tend to look for closet staples that can carry on from one season into the next. Simple layers and basics that don’t take much thought are my usual go-to because I am so busy! I like the idea of purchasing pieces I can wear now that will also transition into outfits I can wear in the workplace.

I always feel chic in an outfit that moves easily from day to night. I love anything from a classic little black dress, to a simple tee and skinny jeans paired with a statement necklace, blazer, and strappy heels for night. Adding your favorite shoes and accessories to an outfit can create the perfect combination, and I love that Lulus offers a wide variety of options, giving me opportunity to change up an outfit in several ways!
