After several months of covering up in comfy clothes and loungewear (no complaints here), cutout tops, dresses, skirts, and swimsuits are a welcome wardrobe refresh. Spring is the season when we come out of winter hiding and step into the sun again, after all. And if this winter’s felt extra long, the cutout trend is inspiration to step back out–and flaunt your favorite asset. You can go subtle in a jumpsuit that shows a sliver of midriff or a puff sleeve maxi dress with a surprise cutout back or take it to the next level in a backless bodysuit. Overall, the look is minimal and modern and doesn’t need a whole lot of extra styling to make an impact. Just add jeans and sneakers, or simple sandals and clean gold hoops–you get the idea.
