MVP Trend of the Week: Plaid

Published by

Call it check, tartan, or just plain plaid, but this forever trend is one that never dies. The Fall 2017  runways were full of the traditional print in every incarnation from pantsuits to pleated skirts And while it can sometimes conjure up images of school uniforms or lumberjacks, plaid can indeed look super stylish and, dare we say, sexy. It’s all in the styling, of course.

To keep your look feeling up to date, mix in fabrics like denim and leather, and make sure to add some edge with accessories like ankle boots or the current must-have hat shape, the baker boy cap. Plaid plays well with leopard prints and florals, too, so don’t be afraid to go the eclectic route. Or channel your inner It Brit chick with a cat-eye and a sleek ankle boot. Whatever way you choose to rock it, you’ll look, well, bloody brilliant.
