MVP Trend of the Week: 13 Snuggly Sherpa, Shearling, and Teddy Jackets

This cuffing season definitely looks different–and truthfully, the only thing we want to be cuffed to right now is anything in a cuddly, fuzzy fabric. That’s why we’re crushing on women’s teddy jackets, sherpa pullovers, shearling coats, and fleece toppers. Aside from being practical (see: hiking) and still pretty (hi, statement outerwear), they feel like you’re snuggling up inside a very warm, chic cloud. Hence, plush pieces are all we want to wear as temps drop.

The cozy trend’s been going strong for a few years now–serious staying power, considering our decreasing attention spans (thanks, TikTok). But teddy, shearling, and fleece toppers are still here–and we hope that lasts forever! Because sherpa is basically the fashion equivalent of a Snuggie (a blanket with sleeves, for the uninitiated), you can stay warm and comfy alllll day without sacrificing an ounce of style. Basically, it feels like wearing pajamas without anyone realizing it. Need we say more?

That said, teddy jackets work with casual sweaters and jeans, your favorite sweater dress-and-boots combo, and even holiday outfits. (This trend goes great with festive essentials like velvet and sequins.) Whether you prefer a sporty cropped topper or a glam coat, you’ll find it ahead.
