MVP Trend of the Week: Western Prairie Fashion is the Fall 2019 Way to do Boho

Summer’s winding down and sad as we are to say goodbye to beach days and poolside parties, there is a slew of Fall 2019 fashion trends to be excited about. Among our favorites for transitioning from the sunny season to sweater weather: western chic clothing and accessories with a pastoral, almost vintage-inspired vibe. Think Little House on the Prairie, but make it fashion.

The prairie dress, in particular, has enjoyed serious “It” status over the last few seasons, thanks to pretty much every street style star and fashion darling rocking the trend. With long sleeves, high necks, and ruffles, the modest, western bohemian look all but took over. Now, as we move into the new season, we’re falling for more chic takes on the prairie fashion trend–and pairing them with edgy extras.

Of course, you can wear your western chic clothing with cowgirl-worthy accessories (think a prairie dress with western boots and turquoise jewelry), but you can also give this country trend an urban twist. Try a puff-sleeve prairie top with a sleek leather skirt or a floral ruffled prairie skirt with sneakers.
