Black Widow Cocktail

Be the ghostess with the mostess at your Halloween bash this year by impressing your friends with the spook-tacular Black Widow cocktail! Blavod black vodka sets a moody tone for this potent potion, with Chambord and cranberry juice offering a not-too-sweet berry flavor. Add a bit of dry ice for a decorative swirling smoke effect and a beverage worthy of any ghoulish get-together!

The Black Widow (makes one)

• 1 oz. Blavod Black Vodka
• 1 oz. Chambord
• 1 oz. Cranberry Juice
• A splash or two of club soda
• Dry Ice Pellet (optional for decorative purposes)

Directions

1. Combine vodka, Chambord, cranberry juice, and club soda in a shaker.
2. Strain into a martini glass.
3. Then (using tongs!) carefully drop in a dry ice pellet into a decorative drink. The dry ice will immediately start bubbling and creating a spooky smoke effect.
4. Serve and enjoy!

Dry ice does require special handling instructions, but when worked with correctly it isn’t dangerous. It can be harmful if it is ingested or comes in contact with skin for too long. We recommend using the dry ice for decorative drinks, but if you do put them in your guests’ drinks be sure to caution your guests to not breathe in the “smoke” directly or ingest the dry ice pellet in their cup (which is unlikely since it will sink to the bottom of the glass). Want to make this a mocktail? Simply omit the vodka and Chambord for a bubbly berry beverage!
