Coconut Rose Body Scrub DIY

Get smooth, silky, and toned skin in just a few minutes with our super easy Coconut Rose Body Scrub DIY! We chose three simple ingredients (organic of course!) that you probably already have in your kitchen, plus this scrub smells and feels so amazing that it will make you feel like you’ve spent the day at a luxury spa! Coconut oil has SO many applications as a natural beauty ingredient: not only is it ultra-hydrating and leaves your skin looking lustrous (but never greasy), it also has antibacterial and antiviral properties to help to prevent breakouts and heal wounds quickly. Finely ground pink Himalayan salt is great at exfoliating and removing dead skin, plus it helps draw out toxins and cleanse. Rose essential oil is a natural astringent that assists in toning, firming, and lifting the skin, and contains properties that help skin heal scars and stretchmarks more rapidly.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Room Temperature Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Ground Pink Himalayan Salt or Sea Salt
  • 3-4 Drops Rose Organic Essential Oil

Directions

Simply whisk these three ingredients together with a fork for a ready-to-use scrub! Use on hands, feet, arms, and legs. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

  • O.O! I need to try this ASAP. Thanks Lulu's. Great pictures, it gives me a sense of pampering already.

  • Awesome Lulu's thanks for the idea Have not pampering myself for a while so this will be an definitely must do for me

    • Hi Anu, this scrub will be fine at room temperature, but we suggest referencing the expiration dates on the products used.

  • I have a problem with the coconut oil hardening in the salt scrub how do you prevent that from happening? Or do you have to microwave it everytime you want to use it?

    • Stephanie, typically coconut oil will begin to soften at temps above 76 degrees. Depending on your container, you can try submerging in warm water to soften.

  • hi! I am a start up blogger and I want to ask permission if I could feature your recipe in my upcoming blog?
I promise to credit your blog.
    thanks.

  • I love this and I want to make 80-100 small jars for my daughters bridal shower. What amounts should I use of each ingredient?

    • Lisa, it will depend on how many ounces your jars hold, but if you search for an online recipe converter or multiplier that should help you determine how much you will need for your project.

    • Jo, most of these items can be purchased at your local grocery or health food store, or even online on sites like Amazon.com.

  • Beautiful photos, and great idea for scrub....though, as a master in aromatherapy, I would suggest to replace rose essential oil by Jasmine or ylang ylang, both have cosmetic anti aging and anti oxidant benefits without the prohibiting price!!! Keep your rose essential oil to add in a day facial cream....you will enjoy it all day long... ;))).
Another option would be to replace rose essential oil by rose floral water ( hydrosol)
Have fun trying these...and stay beautiful with nature!!!
