We&#8217;ve brought you makeup, nail, and fashion inspo featuring this shimmering shade, and now we&#8217;ve incorporated it yet again into this to-die-for DIY Gold Dipped Mug tutorial! The steps could not be easier (or more fun!), and the idea of drinking a cup of delicious hot chocolate from this darling mug is getting us way too excited for fall. Check out the full tutorial below!<\/p>\n<p><h2>Supplies:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>One plain white mug<\/li>\n<li>Painter&#8217;s tape<\/li>\n<li>Matte indoor gold spray paint<\/li>\n<li>Mod Podge or clear ceramic sealer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-163425 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Gold Dipped Mug\" width=\"750\" height=\"1470\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug-76x150.jpg 76w, https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug-153x300.jpg 153w, https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug-522x1024.jpg 522w, https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug-241x473.jpg 241w, https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/GoldDippedMug-382x750.jpg 382w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/>\n<h2>Steps:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Using painter&#8217;s tape, seal off the area of mug you want to keep white &#8211; making sure to cover the lip of the mug, and that there are no ripples in the tape so your lines are crisp.<\/li>\n<li>Place the cup upside-down on newspaper, and spray the exposed areas of the mug with the gold spray paint. <em>*Spray gold spray paint 15 inches away in small spurts to avoid dripping*<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Wait 5 minutes for spray paint to dry, then apply the clear ceramic sealer.<\/li>\n<li>Wait 5-7 minutes to let the sealer dry, remove the tape and get ready to your enjoy your fabulous new mug! <em>*Do not wait too long because the tape may peel off some paint!*<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>*Not\u00a0dishwasher\u00a0safe.\u00a0Hand-wash\u00a0with mild soap and water*<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here at Lulus.com we&#8217;ve realized there really isn&#8217;t much we wouldn&#8217;t mind seeing dipped in a bit of gold!
