Pretty<\/a> and effortless, with a hint of boho<\/a>, this look from our favorite beauty expert, Erin Ryser<\/a>, is officially our new easy date<\/a>-hair go to. We think it’s about to be yours, too.<\/p>\n\"half\n

Among the many things we love about this braided half-up hairstyle: It’s perfect for those of us who have a hard time deciding how to do our ‘dos<\/a> (raises hand). Dreamy braid<\/a>? Flowing hair<\/a> down? Why choose when you can have both?<\/p>\n\"braidedBonus: You don’t need to be a professional to nail this half-upd<\/a>o. It’s easy to achieve on your own, so you’ll look laid-back cute without<\/em> running late. Whether you’re heading to date night<\/a>, girls’ night out<\/a>, or even special occasions like prom<\/a> or a wedding<\/a>, try a half-up, half-down hairstyle with a braid to get put-together pretty in no time. Half-Up, Half-Down Hairstyle With Braid:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Curl the hair into loose waves.<\/li>\n
  2. Tease the crown for volume.<\/li>\n
  3. Rope braid a section from about an inch back on each side, then pull the braids for fullness.<\/li>\n
  4. Bring the braids across the back from either side to criss-cross and secure with pins.<\/li>\n
  5. On one side, create another two-stranded rope braid just below the first braid, pull on the braid for fullness.<\/li>\n
  6. Bring the braid across the back and secure with pins.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
