Looking for a go-to makeup<\/a> look? We got you! We interviewed one of our favorite makeup artists, Ahna Ellis, to show us how she achieves the perfect summer look.\u00a0Ahna\u00a0creates makeup looks for all of our beautiful models daily, so we definitely trust her with all things beauty! Follow these three easy steps for\u00a0a flawless face.<\/p>\n

Prep:<\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Ahna suggests starting with a clean face and prepping the skin with a moisturizing primer.<\/li>\n
  2. Once the skin is prepped, she\u00a0advises starting with the eyes (before skin!) for more versatility and a cleaner look.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\"Perfect\n

    Step 1: Eyes<\/h3>\n

    “To\u00a0start off, I begin with a concealer base on the eyelid to help the shadow to last, and then I blend a neutral matte shadow<\/a>\u00a0into the eyelid using a fluffy blending brush<\/a>,” says Ahna.\u00a0“After I have my base shadow, I buff a darker matte shadow onto the crease to add definition to the eye. The shadows in this palette<\/a> are perfect for building this look. If you\u2019re wanting something a bit more fun, use a flat synthetic brush to pack a pop of sparkle in the center of the eye to catch the light. If I’m doing a sun-kissed bronze-y look, I love adding a pop of gold shadow<\/a> to the lid!\u201d<\/p>\n\"Perfect\n

    Step 2:\u00a0Lashes<\/h3>\n

    “For a fuller lash line, follow up your shadow by\u00a0curling your lashes<\/a>\u00a0and using a\u00a0volumizing mascara<\/a>. A quick and simple trick to get lashes even fuller is to first coat lashes with a white priming mascara and let it dry for a few minutes before applying a volumizing formula in a dark color. This will lift, lengthen and plump the lashes to really open up those eyes!”<\/p>\n\"Perfect\n

    Step 3:\u00a0Skin<\/h3>\n

    “Once the skin\u00a0is prepped and the eyes are done, I usually buff foundation in with a flat top Kabuki brush. My favorite foundation brushes at the moment are the Japonesque complexion brushes<\/a>.\u00a0For more oily skin use a matte foundation formula to control shine, and for normal to dry skin, a luminous dewy finish works best to keep skin looking youthful and radiant. I then go in with a beauty blender<\/a> to push the products into the skin to give it a beautiful airbrushed effect.”<\/p>\n

    “Once the foundation is set I use a concealer on the high points of the face such as\u00a0under the eyes, the bridge of the nose, and the center of the forehead to brighten and highlight the face. For a sun-kissed look, I finish it off with a bronzer on the areas that would naturally see the sun. I love the NYX Medium Matte Bronzer<\/a>\u00a0as an affordable option to achieve that\u00a0warm glow.”<\/p>\n\"Perfect\n
