So you want to be an Instagram star? Well, so do we, so we\u00a0talked with one of our very lovely models, Simone, to get some tips and tricks on posing for the perfect Insta-shot! Read on to learn how to nail your Instagram poses.<\/p>\n

The Leg-Pop<\/h2>\n\"Instagram\n

This is a pose we see over and over on the ‘gram. It’s the classic Insta-pose, probably because it\u2019s cute and easy to pull off. It works so well because by popping one leg out, you slim and lengthen your body. It also gives you angles to show off your cute shoes! Simone recommends keeping your lips and face soft and to elongate your neck. She also told us that having your photographer–aka Insta-husband or willing friend–at a lower angle, which will help make your legs look longer and slimmer. You also want to pay attention to your hands; you want them to hang loose and natural, not stiff and awkwardly posed.<\/p>\n

Look Back at It<\/h2>\n\"Instagram\n

We love how sassy this pose is! For this pose, Simone told us that it is important to arch your back and pull your shoulder back. This all helps to keep you looking elongated. Finding the lighting that works best for your features is an important step in nailing the shot too. She recommends playing with taking photos in different lighting to find the light that works best for you. And don\u2019t forget about the golden hour! This is the time right before sunset when the light is softer and redder than when the sun is high in the sky. This is said to be the prettiest time to take pictures.<\/p>\n

Find Some Movement<\/h2>\n\"Instagram\n

To keep your feed from looking too mundane, it\u2019s important to find some movement in your pictures, ya know, spice it up a bit! For this pose Simone recommends walking forward on your tippy-toes–this will give you movement and elongate\u00a0your legs. Don\u2019t forget to keep your face soft! Simone also told us with movement, it’s important to just go for it! What may feel awkward in person while you’re posing might actually translate really well in the shot.<\/p>\n

Have Fun!<\/h2>\n\"Instagram\n

The most important piece of advice we have is to have fun! Simone said it best, \u201cDon\u2019t be discouraged while looking at other people’s feeds! Yeah, they may have some really good shots, but it may have taken them 300 takes before they got the perfect one to post.\u201d<\/p>\n
