Get ready for fall fashion (and sales!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With only one week until Labor Day – yay for long weekends and even bigger yay for sales! – now is the perfect time to clean out your closet<\/a> and make room for fall fashion. You’ll feel so much better about making any purchases knowing you have the space for new items in your life! Once you’ve donated or sold the pieces you aren’t in love with anymore, take some time this weekend to make a list of all the gaps in your closet. Are you missing a blazer you can layer over dresses and tanks to take them into the cooler weather? Need to refresh your denim collection with some current styles? Looking for an entirely new fall wardrobe (ahem<\/a>)? Knowing what you are looking for\u00a0means you’ll shop with intention, rather than picking up unnecessary styles just because they are on a deep discount.<\/p>\n

Play with a puppy<\/strong><\/p>\n

We never need an excuse to stare at puppy pictures on Instagram<\/a> or cuddle with a sweet doggo, but Sunday is National Dog Day<\/a> in the U.S., so this behavior is not only encouraged, it’s expected! If you have a dog of your own, treat it to a long walk, a trip to the dog park, or take it with you to a pet-friendly bar or restaurant for a little social time with your best friend. No dog? No problem! Scroll through cute dog accounts on social media, visit a friend or family member’s dog, or make a trip to your local shelter with some treats or toys for the dogs who need some extra attention every day of the week. Most shelters have a list of items they need on their website that you can bring to donate, so even if you can’t volunteer or pet the animals, you’ll be doing some good for all the good boys and girls waiting to be adopted. Pick your fall lip<\/strong><\/p>\n

Puppy kisses aside, your lips need attention too when it comes to getting ready for fall. We got so inspired looking at major babe Bella Hadid showing off some of the haute-est lip trends for fall in\u00a0Allure<\/em>‘s September issue<\/a>, we had to\u00a0run out and pick a new hue (or two) for the upcoming season. The fun thing about these trends? They’re totally different than what you’d expect for fall. Bright corals, neon pinks, two-toned pouts, and even bright yellow add a serious pop of color, which would pair so beautifully with some of the richer tones we expect from fall fashion. Pair bright, Barbie pink lips with a magenta dress for a tone-on-tone look; contrast an emerald green top with a coral red pout; mix and match your shades to bring color to an all black or white outfit. Not into the matte look? A sheer, glossy shade can help you add some color and update your makeup wardrobe for fall, without feeling too heavy or overdone.<\/p>\n
