Fall is officially in the air – it’s practically almost winter! Our sweaters are ready and we’ve traded our sandals for booties. Along with\u00a0changing leaves, fashion, and beverages choices (aka trading in that cold brew for a chai spice latte), there are changes in our beauty routine that come along with the autumn\u00a0months as well! Here are some of our top tips for a fall makeup refresh to keep you looking pretty all season long.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Girl, we cannot stress this enough. In the summer months, we are constantly\u00a0trying to avoid shine and keep our makeup from sweating off, but as the air cools, we face a different type of skin dilemma – dryness. It seems that as soon as the calendar\u00a0reads October, all the moisture in our skin just evaporates away. Great. But no worries! There are plenty of grade-A moisturizers out there can save you from dry, flaky skin. When picking out a moisturizer, check for one with Hyaluronic Acid. This holy grail of a skincare product has made quite a splash in the skin care game recently and is said to be,\u00a0“critical in maintaining skin hydration.”<\/a>\u00a0Our go-to Hyaluronic Acid moisturizer is\u00a0Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream<\/a> by Peter Thomas Roth. This cream has drastically changed our face moisture game and we are recommending it to anyone who will listen!<\/p>\n

Don’t you dare stop with the SPF!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just because\u00a0the sun isn’t out in full force anymore, doesn’t mean you can skimp on your SPF. Sun rays can absolutely\u00a0get through cloudy skies and damage your skin. Planning a cold-weather trip to a snowy location? SPF becomes even more important! Sun rays actually bounce off of the snow and up on to your face — and they bounce back with intensity! It’s the same concept as when\u00a0people would tan while holding those big reflective screens. The bottom line is that you should be protecting your skin from the sun all year round.<\/p>\n

Turn up the glam!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the heat of the summer months behind us, it is safe to bring back a more intense, makeup-heavy look without\u00a0fear of it melting off during the day. We live for the return of winged eyeliner and the smokey eye!\u00a0We are\u00a0super excited for the sultry beauty of fall-toned\u00a0eyeshadow palettes like the Morphe 35O Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette<\/a>. This\u00a0neutral palette is packed full of rich browns, oranges, and reds (sneak a peek in the image above). Think of all the colors of the fall leaves — but for your eyes! In the summer we cannot be bothered with lipstick – lip balm only, please. But come fall, we are all about a bold lip for basically any occasion! Nothing says fall beauty like a rich red lip like the Boujee Lip Kit<\/a> from Kylie Cosmetics. We are also loving the burnt orange tones of Colourpop’s\u00a0Mama<\/a>. Dark statement lips\u00a0not your jam? No worries girl! We have got options\u00a0for you too! Kat Von D’s Fawn\u00a0<\/a>is a\u00a0soft brown nude that is universally\u00a0flattering and chic and\u00a0Ophelia<\/a>\u00a0by Kat Von D is a nude chestnut and looks amaze paired with a winged eyeliner look. These neutral shades still pack a punch and keep your look feeling totally fall friendly.<\/p>\n
