The standard nape-level updo<\/a> is wedding hair<\/a> 101; now, it\u2019s time for a master class. To get a fresh, romantic take on the low bun hairstyle, we turned to our favorite tutorial<\/a> teacher, hair and makeup artist, Erin Ryser, who added her own twist (literally).<\/p>\n\"front\n

Give bun hairstyles for weddings<\/a> a whole new meaning? Yeah, she did that. Whether you\u2019re a guest, part of the bridal party<\/a>, or the bride<\/a>, this low updo will look equal parts timeless and modern. Sounds good, no?<\/p>\n\"back\n

To try out this bun hairstyle for a wedding, formal gala, or heck, just date night, follow the steps below!<\/p>\n

Low Bun Hairstyle Tutorial Steps:<\/h2>\n

1. Tease the roots of the hair at the crown, then smooth over top to hide the tease.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Run fingers through the hair as you apply medium-hold spray.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Smooth and gather hair at the crown, pinch to center and pin in both directions, pull on the hair for texture.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Twist section starting from the part into a rope braid.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Section away \u201cbangs\u201d section in front of the twist.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Braid the rest of the hair at the nape of the neck, secure with a hair elastic at the base and top of the braid.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Wrap the braid into a messy bun, pin in all directions until the bun feels secure.<\/span><\/p>\n

8, Weave \u201cbangs\u201d section through the rope braid once to drape around face and pin.<\/span><\/p>\n
