That said, the holiday season can make it feel like there aren&#8217;t enough hours in the day to do everything you need to, let alone attempt an involved craft project (that could very well end up as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/lulusdotcom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinterest<\/a> fail). That&#8217;s why we came up with a simple DIY to show you how to make a Christmas wreath that&#8217;s chic, in keeping with the spirit of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/holiday\">holidays<\/a>, <em>and<\/em> appropriate to leave up well into the winter season.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-234113 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/8-wreath.jpg\" alt=\"DIY christmas wreath hanging on door\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/>\n<p>Our DIY frosted Christmas wreath is easy to create and also makes an unexpected, thoughtful present. In addition to adding a spirited touch to your own front door, homemade wreaths are a great <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/228\/gift-guide.html\">gift<\/a> option for that hard-to-shop-for person&#8211;or persons&#8211;on your list (your in-laws, your auntie, your neighbor who brings over cookies every year!). Either way, because of its timeless winter vibe, this DIY Christmas wreath can stay up long after the holidays are over, bringing that cheer into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/2026\/new-year-s-dresses.html\">new year<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Scroll on to see how to make a Christmas wreath with ease.<\/p>\n<h2>DIY Christmas Wreath<\/h2>\n<h3>Supplies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Floral wire, cut into 6&#8243; pieces<\/li>\n<li>Wire wreath frame<\/li>\n<li>Wire cutters<\/li>\n<li>6&#8242; pine garland (or greenery garland of your choice)<\/li>\n<li>Artificial snow spray<\/li>\n<li>Scrap of cardboard or other safe painting surface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instructions:<\/h3>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234106\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/1-wreath-DIY2287.jpg\" alt=\"diy christmas wreath step 1\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Step 1: <\/strong>Starting at one end of the wreath, bunch a group of the pine fronds together so they all are facing the same direction.<\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234107\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-wreath-DIY2290.jpg\" alt=\"how to make a christmas wreath step 2\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Take a piece of wire and wrap it around the base of the bunch, twisting the two ends of the wire together on the back of the frame until secured. Moving down the garland a few inches at a time, bunch and secure groups of fronds until the garland is wrapped around the frame one time. Be sure the fronds are all going in the same direction.<\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234108\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/3wreath-DIY2279-1.jpg\" alt=\"DIY holiday wreath step 2\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1249\" \/><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Once garland has covered the wire frame, cut the remaining length of garland off. Use the fronds in the extra garland piece to fill out any areas of the wreath that aren&#8217;t as full. Cut off individual fronds and secure them to the frame using the same wire method as when attaching the garland.<\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234109\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/4-wreath-DIY2292.jpg\" alt=\"how to make a christmas wreath step 4\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1251\" \/><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> At this point, you can choose to leave your wreath fronds for loose\/fluffier look, or bunch them together further to create a tighter, full look. Working your way around the entire wreath, bunch groups of fronds tighter than before, and secure each bunch with another piece of wire. Repeat until the desired look is achieved.<\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234112\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/6-wreath-DIY2279-2.jpg\" alt=\"homemade christmas wreaths- finished frosted \" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> In a well-ventilated area, lay the wreath down on a piece of scrap cardboard or another paint-safe surface. Shake the artificial snow spray can well (according to the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions). Spray individual fronds in quick, short sprays until you achieve the desired look.
