Instead of attempting a complex updo or admitting defeat and wearing the same everyday look you always do, get in soiree-mode with an easy headband hairstyle. This look was actually inspired by Amanda Seyfried’s glam goddess waves<\/a> from the 2018 Met Gala, a headband hairstyle that we haven’t been able to get out of our minds since. The flowy twists! The gilded headband! The romance<\/em>! It’s all so holiday-party-hair perfect.<\/p>\n\"headband\n

This style also happens to be blissfully uncomplicated (a holiday miracle!): In addition to being one of the most important trends of the season, accessories<\/a> like clips, pins, and headbands are the ultimate party hair hack. Just brush out your curls<\/a>, add a shimmery<\/a> finishing touch–in this case, a gold, tiara-like topper–and voila<\/em>! You’re ready to get on with the festivities<\/a> (minus the freakouts!).<\/p>\n\"headband\n

Holiday Waves Headband Hairstyle:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Spray the hair with medium hold hairspray, brush through, and section to curl.<\/li>\n
  2. Curl the hair in small sections, twisting before wrapping around the iron.<\/li>\n
  3. Create a middle part and brush out curls with fingers, smoothing with hairspray as you go (a dry oil hairspray is preferable for this part).<\/li>\n
  4. Add a party-ready headband!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
