These Berries and Cream Parfaits are light, decadent, and the perfect red, white, and blue dessert! Plus, the only part that you have to make is the whipped cream–and don\u2019t skip that, either: Homemade whipped cream takes just a few minutes to whip up, and it\u2019s light, creamy, dreamy, and has just the perfect hint of sweetness.<\/p>\n\"july\n

These desserts are like the no-bake cousin of Strawberry Shortcakes! Instead of biscuits, though, we\u2019re layering cubes of pound cake or angel food cake in the bottom of our parfaits, then adding layers of our fresh whipped cream, blueberries<\/a>, and strawberries<\/a>. (Hence, the red, white, and blue dessert part.) It\u2019s important to let the strawberries sit in a bowl with the tablespoon of sugar while you make the whipped cream; this helps the strawberry juices get going and takes this July 4th dessert recipe up a notch!<\/p>\n\"strawberry\n
