The new hot treatment is basically a perm for your brows<\/a> that gives the illusion of fullness, growth, and lift, without any knives or needles. No need for invasive and painful microblading to achieve fuller brows<\/a>, or injections to give you a more youthful look!<\/p>\n

\u201cBrow Lamination is an ‘instant brow lift’ without surgery or Botox,\u201d says Clementina Richardson, founder of Envious Lashes<\/a>. \u201cIn only 45 minutes, you can extend your brows from one third to half the width, adding beautiful, smooth dimension and color to sparse brows,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

What is eyebrow lamination exactly?<\/h2>\n

At the beginning of this multi-step process, your professional will groom your brows to the desired length and shape. Once you\u2019re happy with the shape, a brow adhesive is used to secure the brow hairs in an upward direction. Following, a styling lotion is used to relax the hair cuticle so the brow hairs are molded to the sought after brow shape. Next, a fixing lotion is used to structure the brow hairs and set them into their new shape and position. At the end, a keratin serum is combed through the brows, to help hydrate and condition the hairs.<\/p>\n

Does it hurt?<\/h2>\n

No, this shouldn’t hurt at all, says Richardson. If you have sensitive skin, you may experience some irritation and redness from the product, but that will go away within minutes.<\/p>\n

Who is the best candidate for eyebrow lamination?<\/h2>\n

While eyebrow lamination can be done on most everyone, there are some brows that will fully thrive with this treatment. \u201cThose with dark brows who want to keep them full and in-place, and those with light, thin, unruly brows, can really benefit from brow lamination,\u201d says Richardson.<\/p>\n

If I have light brows, do I need to tint them?<\/h2>\n

Not necessarily, but sometimes it may help. \u201cFor those that have sparse brows they can benefit from the tinting, but the treatment automatically darkens the brows,\u201d says Richardson. A consultant will determine if the client would like a feathered or tailored look.<\/p>\n

Does brow lamination change my overall appearance?<\/h2>\n

Usually, high brows will give you a youthful look. Richardson\u2019s clients who turn to this non-invasive treatment love the look of high brows which is typically achieved with botox or a facelift.<\/p>\n

How long does it take to complete the treatment?<\/h2>\n

Typically the treatment takes 45 minutes, but application and processing time varies based on the texture on the natural hairs. Before the treatment, your licensed professional will have a consultation with you to discuss the process and your goals.<\/p>\n

How long does it last and are touch-ups necessary?<\/h2>\n

Typically the treatment will last 4-5 weeks and touch-ups are not possible as this service is done once the processed hair grows out.<\/p>\n

What should I do after the treatment? Do I have any restrictions?<\/h2>\n

Your licensed professional will go over all of the best practices to protect and maintain your new brows, but it might not be the best idea to book this treatment before your daily Peloton ride. Richardson recommends not wetting or rubbing the area for 24 hours. Try to avoid turning your shower into a steam room and applying creams, oils, and eye makeup<\/a> right after.<\/p>\n

Does eyebrow lamination cause any damage to your brows?<\/h2>\n

Richardson says any processing of your hair can<\/em> be damaging, which is why it’s important to see a licensed professional that recognizes hair<\/a> texture and can appropriately tailor the treatment to each client. Leaving the formula on for too long will cause the hair to be over proceed, which can result in losing brow hairs.<\/p>\n

How much does it cost?<\/h2>\n

Depending on expertise and location, one treatment can run you $125-$250.<\/p>\n
