From Christmas decorations to my manicure, I love to see a bit of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/811_815\/sequins.html\">sparkle<\/a> and shine, and this silver nail design puts a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/100_3702\/sterling-silver.html\">metallic<\/a> twist on classic half-moon nails. It&#8217;s a quick, easy way to get into the holiday spirit!<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-245037\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Silver1.jpg\" alt=\"silver half moon nails\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" \/>\n<p>For this manicure, I put a glittery foiled finish on the half-moon design for a look that works perfectly with a holiday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/13_435\/holiday-dresses.html\">dress<\/a> or an ugly Christmas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/10_224\/sweaters.html\">sweater<\/a>. Plus, you don\u2019t need any nail art tools if you don\u2019t have them! Here\u2019s everything you\u2019ll need to do this silver nail design:<\/p>\n<h2>Silver Half-Moon Nails<\/h2>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-245040\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Silver3.jpg\" alt=\"half moon nails in silver design\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" \/>\n<h4>Supplies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Base coat<\/li>\n<li>Sheer neutral polish (I used Static Nails Coconut)<\/li>\n<li>Silver nail polish (I used Starrily Moonlight)<\/li>\n<li>Glossy top coat<\/li>\n<li>Optional: Thin nail art brush<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Instructions:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Prep and file your nails to your desired shape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Apply a thin layer of base coat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Apply a layer of sheer neutral polish as your base shade and let dry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> For the half-moon shape at the base of your nail, you can approach it two different ways. The first method doesn\u2019t require any tools, you can just use the nail polish brush from your silver nail polish and make sure there isn\u2019t too much product on the brush end. Starting at the bottom edge of your nail, create the half-moon shape to the other corner of your nail. Then paint in the rest of your nail, leaving the half-moon shape open.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps 5 &amp; 6:<\/strong> The other option is to use a nail art brush, dip it into your silver polish, and draw a thin line in the half-moon shape. This gives you a little bit more control to map out the shape. Then fill in the rest of the nail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> Once the design is dry, top with a glossy top coat and cap the free edge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you try this silver nail design?
