March is Women’s History Month, and March 8 is International Women’s Day<\/a>, but no matter the month or the day, women deserve to be recognized and celebrated for their contributions to the world. At Lulus, we’re fortunate to have met and chatted with some of the most inspiring, empowered women out there. From artists and authors to activists, these ladies are shaping the future, breaking barriers, and helping others in the process. Didi, Taz, Izzy, and Sarah of The Fridge Girls<\/h2>\n

Bronx natives Didi, Taz, Izzy, and Sarah founded mutual aid group The Fridge Girls<\/a> to provide the members of their NYC neighborhoods with fresh food, no strings attached. They collect food donations and coordinate drop-offs to help stock community fridges in New York City\u2019s most vulnerable, underserved areas. Tori Press of @Revelatori<\/h2>\n

Through her\u00a0 Instagram account, Revelatori<\/a>, artist and author Tori Press uses her illustration talents and personal experiences to break the therapy stigma. Chelsea VonChaz of Happy Period<\/h2>\n

As co-founder of charitable organization and social movement, #HappyPeriod<\/a>, Chelsea VonChaz has spent the last five+ years working to provide individuals in need with access to menstrual hygiene products (through donation kits). Hannah and Yseult of The Kinswomen<\/h2>\n

Yseult Polfliet and Hannah Pechter started a podcast, The Kinswomen<\/em><\/a>, to bridge the gap between women of color and white women by having open, honest discussions about race, and offering guidance on how to be an ally. They also facilitate anti-racism training for individuals, teams, and organizations (and they do a monthly feature for the Lulus blog<\/a> about race-related issues). Katie Stagliano of Katie’s Krops<\/h2>\n

South Carolina native Katie Stagliano is the founder of Katie\u2019s\u00a0 Krops, an organization that empowers young people around the country to start vegetable gardens in their communities and donate the harvests to the needy. Nikki, Shay, Brandy, and Meghan of Influencing in Color<\/h2>\n

They connect thousands of young women, online and offline, through free wellness retreats, events, and meetups across the globe, these women have created an all-inclusive community of previvors, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers.
