Whether you\u2019re heading to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/2442\/the-vacation-shop.html\">beach<\/a>, hitting a summer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/13_431\/party-dresses.html\">party<\/a>, or just relaxing on your patio, this is a fun way to celebrate the sunshine. If you&#8217;re ready to make a stylish statement with your own rainbow nail art, here\u2019s what you\u2019ll need.<\/p>\n<h2>Rainbow Nails Design<\/h2>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-249774\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/May2021_1.jpg\" alt=\"a hand with rainbow nail art \" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/>\n<h4>Supplies:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Base coat<\/li>\n<li>Sheer neutral nail polish<\/li>\n<li>Dotting tool<\/li>\n<li>Nail art brush<\/li>\n<li>An assortment of rainbow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/manufacturer\/11041\/essie.html\">nail polish<\/a> shades<\/li>\n<li>Acetone<\/li>\n<li>A small bowl (for the acetone)<\/li>\n<li>Glossy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/products\/gel-couture-clear-top-coat\/1475676.html\">top coat<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Instructions:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Prep and file your nails to your desired shape, then apply a thin layer of base coat.<\/li>\n<li>Apply two coats of sheer nail polish as your base shade to your thumb, pointer, and pinky finger. Let them dry.<\/li>\n<li>For the thumb, pointer, and pinky finger: With the color <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/manufacturer\/11041\/essie.html\">nail polish<\/a> of choice (feel free to mix and match the rainbow!) start on one corner in the middle of your nail, creating a slight<br \/>\nswoop upwards and ending in the opposite corner on the top of your nail. You can achieve this with the brush from the bottle or a nail art brush. Once dry, repeat the same steps with your next shade, creating a slight swoop from one side of the nail to the top tip. You\u2019ll create this swoop slightly upwards from your first swoop but following the same shape. Repeat to finish off the tip with your third color!<\/li>\n<li>To create your rainbow heart, put some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/1882\/red.html\">red<\/a> nail polish on a piece of foil or surface of choice so you can dip your dotting tool into it. On your middle finger, place two dots next to<br \/>\neach other. Next, take your nail art brush dipped in the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/products\/forever-yummy-red-nail-enamel\/1534536.html\">red nail polish<\/a>, and create a small v-shape below the two dots to connect the two and create the heart shape. Then fill in. You can perfect your heart with a little bit of acetone and a clean-up brush to tidy the edges.<\/li>\n<li>Next, dip your nail art brush in the orange polish and trace your heart, creating an orange border around it. Make sure to clean off your nail art brush periodically<br \/>\nso the lines stay clean as you build up the outline. You\u2019ll want to repeat this process of outlining the previous shape with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/845_3770\/yellow.html?\">yellow<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/3742\/green.html\">green<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/products\/butler-please-bright-blue-nail-enamel\/1534556.html\">blue<\/a>,\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/262_465\/purple-dresses.html\">purple<\/a> shades until your whole nail is filled in.<\/li>\n<li>On your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/100_73\/rings.html\">ring<\/a> finger, dip your nail art brush in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/products\/mint-candy-apple-mint-green-nail-enamel\/1534476.html\">green polish<\/a>, then draw a small triangle in the corner of your nail. You\u2019ll want to follow the same shape with your red, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/categories\/262_483\/coral-and-orange-dresses.html\">orange<\/a>, and yellow<br \/>\npolishes, creating elongated triangles that essentially line up next to each other. As you go along, you can clean up your lines with acetone and a clean-up brush.<\/li>\n<li>Let the design dry, then apply a glossy top coat.<\/li>\n<li>Cap the edge and finish with cuticle oil.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Did you try this rainbow design?
