Scroll on to see what you\u2019ll need to create this summer nail art design at home.<\/p>\n<h2>Tie-Dye Nail Design<\/h2>\n<p><video style=\"width: calc(100% - 2px); min-width: 326px;\" autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" muted=\"\" controls=\"controls\" ><source src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/video\/blog\/JulyReelresize.webm\" type=\"video\/webm\" \/><source src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/video\/blog\/JulyReelresize.mp4\" type=\"video\/mp4\" \/><source src=\"https:\/\/www.lulus.com\/video\/blog\/JulyReelresize.ogv\" type=\"video\/ogg\" \/>Your browser does not support this video<\/video><\/p>\n<h3>Supplies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Base coat<\/li>\n<li>Sheer neutral nail polish<\/li>\n<li>Striping nail art brush<\/li>\n<li>Assortment of gel shades (here I used pink, white, peach, yellow, blue and mint)<\/li>\n<li>Glossy top coat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instructions:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0To achieve this look we\u2019ll be using gel polishes, and nail prep is essential for a long-lasting manicure. Make sure to clean up your cuticles and gently wipe each nail to get rid of any oils<br \/>\nso the gel polishes will adhere well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Apply 1 layer of base coat and cure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Next, apply 2-3 layers of sheer neutral polish; this will be your base color for the look. Make sure to cure each layer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Put a dot of each color of gel polish you plan to use on your palette, and grab your striping nail art brush. I find longer nail art brushes easier to use when creating long lines and swirls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Dip your nail art brush into your first color and create an organic swirling line \u2013 you can start with a simple curve, or half circle shape. You want the line to be slightly thicker so it still looks defined at the end of the design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Continue the same steps with different colors, following the same shape as your first line so it creates a rainbow effect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> Next, with a clean brush you\u2019ll drag your brush from the inside of your shape outwards, dragging it slightly past your first line. This will create the tie-dye effect. Repeat this step<br \/>\nseveral times, leaving space between each one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> After cleaning your brush again, drag a line from the first line of the shape inwards so it\u2019s going in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 9:<\/strong> Cure your design. Then, repeat steps 5-9 on each nail, changing up the shape for each nail for some variation. Cure each nail once you finish the design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 10:<\/strong> Top your manicure with a top coat and cure.
