Cute but slippery AF

Cute but a little tight around the mid part of my feet. The soles of the boots are fine, the heels are not. The heels are like having slippery ice and one wrong step on any surface that is not carpet and you can easily slip and loose your footing. I'm trying to figure out if I need to sand the bottoms with coarse paper to rough them up, or if there is something else I can do.
