Decorating your digits with a fun Christmas nail art design is one of the easiest ways to get into the holiday spirit. And your mani doesn’t have to be red and green or feature snowmen and Santas, either. A subtle design with a hint of sparkle can be just as festive–and extra fashionable. So this year, I’m showing how to elevate your holiday look by opting for gold and black Christmas nails.

These ornament motifs on nude nails are not only sophisticated and stylish, but they also go with all of your holiday outfits. Whether you’re going sleek in simple LBD, cozying up in a winter white sweater, or getting glam in sequins, the gold and black design will make the perfect finishing touch. Bonus: This glittery nail art will take you from the Christmas season right through New Year’s Eve–without missing a beat! Ahead, see how to DIY a haute holiday mani!

Christmas Nail Art Design:

Supplies:

Instructions:

Step 1: Start off by painting on the string of the Christmas ornament with a line brush.

Step 2: Next trace the shape of the ornament and color in the middle.

Step 3: Paint on the tassels of the ornament by drawing a few lines on the bottom.

Step 4: Then with gold or black, depending on what color the ornament is, use a liner brush to paint on the detailed design on the ornament. Repeat steps 1-4 to paint the other ornament shapes. Wait to dry and top coat all. Happy holidays!
