Instructions:

Step 1: Create a middle part and add heat protectant (preferably one that aids in holding curls).

Step 2: Curl away from the face starting at face framing pieces, then alternate directions with each section. Be sure to include the ends while curling.

Step 3: Run your fingers through the curls after they have cooled; add hairspray as needed for hold.

Step 4: Grab about an inch from the front of one side of the middle part. Tease and flip the section to opposite side, instantly creating a side part with volume and a vintage curve to the front piece.

Step 5: Smooth the other side behind the ear and secure with a mixture of coordinating hair pins and combs.
