Lulus: First things first, give everyone an introduction to your brand! Who is Zemeta?

Zemeta: I’m the designer behind the brand, Zemeta! We’re based in New York City, and we design dreamy womenswear, and we also design for K-Pop stars. We’re very excited to be launching on Lulus!

Lulus: What was your inspiration behind this collection?

Zemeta: This collection is one I’ve always dreamed of making, since a long time ago! It’s very pastel-y and mixed with sporty mesh so it’s very comfortable. Most of the clothes are of stretchy fabrics–they’re very breezy, so when you wear them, it’s like this angelic, sporty vibe that you can wear anywhere. With sneakers or high heels, it works!

Lulus: What’s your favorite piece from this collection, if you have to pick one (we love it all)?

Zemeta: I have many favorite pieces in my summer collection–actually, one of them I’m wearing now! It’s the 55 tube top with lace trimming. Another two items I like are the mesh biker shorts; they have eyelet detail, velvet and lace trimming together. It’s super cute, you could layer it with a box t-shirt on top with just white sneakers.

The other one is this rosy top! Each rose is hand-sewn in a circle, it has a side zipper and a sheer lace back. This can be worn with wide denim pants or a bubble skirt for romantic date nights!

Lulus: Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?

Zemeta: It’s been six years since the day I made my website for my own brand. To aspiring designers, I would say: First, make a website and at least upload, not a lot, like three-to-five designs at first. That will a very good beginning; then it will start to grow as you upload one or two designs, adding on.
