Our Commitment to Change

We commit to change.

As a brand, we have not taken a public stand on important social issues in the past. We believe racism must not be tolerated, ever. We also believe that change must start from within. Over the past two weeks, we have spent time questioning ourselves and critically looking inward to define concrete ways we can improve. We have identified four key areas for improvement and we are committed to working toward actionable, measurable, visible results. Please let our future actions speak louder than our words.

We commit to improving across four key areas that we are confident will bring diversity and fair representation to our site and business. 

 

Diverse Brand Representation

We know we have not done enough to represent the diversity of our customer base. But we are committed to lasting change. We commit to increasing the diversity of the models on our website, in our ads and emails, and across social media. We will actively expand our ambassador program to be more inclusive of women of color and representative of all body types, and we will amplify these women and their voices.

 

Partnership with BIPOC-owned Businesses

We commit to making measurable improvements in our product sourcing, vendor partnerships, agencies, creative content production, and other business solutions to amplify diverse visions and voices and play our part in dismantling institutionalized racism. This means working with more tech partners, photographers, models, influencers, creators, agencies and others that are owned or predominantly represented by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

 

Employee Diversity and Representation

We are establishing an employee task force on diversity and inclusion led by our CEO to ensure we are supporting our diverse employee base and being held accountable for expanding the diversity of our workforce in all aspects. This includes measurably increasing the number of individuals of color in executive, director, and management positions, as well as across the organization. We have work to do.

 

Amplification and Support of Charitable Organizations

The systemic racism in the United States needs action from all of us. On May 30 we announced our donation of $100K to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. That’s not enough, and it’s just the beginning. We are pledging $500K to charities and organizations that support women’s empowerment, with a focus on women of color. We are working on identifying and selecting these organizations, and we commit to using our platform to amplify their voices and messages.
