It’s fall, and everyone is going crazy for all things pumpkin–but let’s not forget all the delicious ways that we can use apples! They’re incredibly versatile and absolutely deserve a place among all the pumpkin spice foods we see everywhere this time of year.
I’m starting my fall baking off with an apple streusel coffee cake–on National Coffee Day, no less! This apple crumble cake is simple to make–you don’t even have to get out your mixer! Everyone who’s tasted this recipe agrees that it’s the perfect fall treat. The cake is moist and flavorful, the apples are tender, and the streusel on top gives the perfect crunch.
Oh, and don’t forget the glaze! It ties all the components of the apple cake together and finishes off this treat so beautifully. The glaze has maple syrup, apple cider, and butter, so you know it’s a winner!
