Charcuterie Board for Thanksgiving

Serves: 6-8 people

Ingredients:

⦁ 5-6 cheeses
⦁ Fig Jam
⦁ Salami
⦁ Grapes
⦁ Raspberries
⦁ Apples
⦁ Dried figs
⦁ Pomegranates
⦁ Candied pecans
⦁ Edible flowers for garnish
⦁ Crackers on the side

8 easy steps DIY your cheese and charcuterie board:

  1. My technique is to start with the cheese as the foundation for the board. Add cheese around the edges and center of the board to balance out your plate.
  2. Place ramakins with jam or honey on the board. This typically looks best in the center of the board.
  3. Fill in the last large gaps on the board with large fruit such as grapes, apples or clementines.
  4. Add in salami using the items on your board to wedge the meat between to create an accordion type of look.
  5. Add in fresh fruit like raspberries, blackberries, and pomegranates
  6. For any last holes, add dried fruit and nuts!
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and edible flowers
  8. Serve with lots of crackers on the side!

A cheese board is also the perfect appetizer to make ahead of time. Just take the board out of the refrigerator 1 hour before serving so the cheese can come to room temperature–which is the most ideal way to consume cheese. Add the board to your table with lots of crackers and enjoy!
