Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:

• 1 ball of pre-made pizza dough
• 1/2 cup pizza sauce
• 1 cup of mozzarella
• 8 fresh basil leaves
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a pan with parchment paper, set aside.
2. Fold each pepperoni in half and cut it into heart shapes.
3. On a well-floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a heart shape.
4. Layer pizza sauce with mozzarella and pepperoni
5. Transfer the pizza dough to a prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the pepperoni is crispy. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil, if desired. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
