It’s back-to-school season, which means summer is beginning to fade quickly into autumn. So while you’re thinking about swapping your tank tops and shorts for fall sweaters and jeans, trading your sandals for fall boots, and prepping for events like homecoming and fall weddings, I have the perfect, easy dessert recipe for the occasion: a Peach Dump Cake!

Wondering what a Peach Dump Cake is? It’s a beautiful dessert that’s a bit like a cobbler, but with a much quicker topping. The recipe is easy enough to whip up on a work/school night, and the leftovers are good for a few days!

Peach Dump Cake is made with just a handful of ingredients. For this recipe, we’re stirring together fresh, juicy late-summer peaches with a bit of sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. You can stir this up right in the baking dish to avoid dirtying a mixing bowl–win!

Next, pour a box of yellow cake mix over the top, then drench that in golden melted butter. That’s all! I told you this recipe was easy–it only requires six ingredients and minimal clean up!
