With an engagement party, bachelorette, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and more leading up to the big day, you’re going to need a whole wardrobe for your bridal era. Well, you’re in luck: We teamed up with content creator Delaney Childs to co-curate a collection of dresses, separates, shoes, and accessories to outfit you for every bridal event.
We also sat down with Delaney to chat all things bridal and fashion. Ahead, hear more about her style philosophy, how she selected pieces for the collection, and the advice she would give every bride-to-be.
Lulus: First things first–tell us about yourself and why you wanted to partner with Lulus!
Delaney Childs: I’m a fashion, lifestyle, and beauty content creator based in Orange County, California. I have been wearing Lulus since I was in high school and I’ve been working with Lulus for over 6 years! I love partnering with your brand because of the affordable price point and on-trend styles.
Lulus: And how would you describe your personal style?
DC: Eclectic! I love variety in all aspects of my life and the same is definitely true for my fashion taste.
Lulus: We love that! How did you reflect your eclectic style in your bridal aesthetic?
DC: I’ve had a lot of fun in my bridal journey trying all different aesthetics and styles–just like I do with my day-to-day fashion. I’m really open-minded with fashion and I think that allows me to experiment a ton. I’ll often be pleasantly surprised by looks I try out!
Lulus: How did you choose your bridal pieces?
DC: I wanted a collection that reflected the many different occasions during the bridal era. From the engagement party to wedding planning festivities, bachelorette, honeymoon, and beyond–there are so many fun occasions to dress for during this era.
Lulus: There really are. Do you have a favorite piece from the Delaney Childs collection?
DC: I’m really in love with the more formal long white dresses in my collection. They are so elegant and timeless–very bridal!
Lulus: For sure! Do you have any advice for brides when it comes to planning their pre-wedding and wedding looks?
DC: Don’t rule anything out; be open to trying things you might not usually go for. Also, choose a word that describes how you want to feel for each occasion and try to emulate that through your styling!
Lulus: That’s great style advice in general! Are there any planning tips you would give other brides?
DC: It absolutely can be a stressful and trying process but I’ve constantly tried to remind myself the deeper meaning of it all: celebrating your love with your person. The details can get to us all. But when I remember the true purpose, it helps calm and ground me.
Lulus: Amen to that. What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
DC: Truly so excited to celebrate our love with our family and friends. I’m also so excited to see it all come together, as it’s been over a year in the making and so much effort, so I can’t wait to see final product!
Lulus: We can’t wait either! Are there any non-bridal trends you’re excited about for summer?
DC: I’m loving the bubble skirts and dresses and think they are perfect for summer vacays!
Lulus: Lastly, is there a fashion mantra you live by?
DC: Never stop trying new things!
