Lulus Babe Nathalie Muñoz on Fall Trends, Hispanic Heritage Month, and the One Fashion Item She Can’t Live Without

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we sat down to chat with one of our favorite Latina Lulus babes, fashion and beauty influencer, Nathalie Muñoz. Ahead, see how Nathalie builds her perfectly effortless looks, her favorite fall trends, how her Dominican heritage influences her style, and the one thing she would tell her younger self.

Lulus: You’ve been a longtime Lulus partner. What initially drew you to the brand–and why do you keep coming back?

Nathalie Muñoz: I love how seamless and transparent it has been working with you guys, and the fact that you guys allow me to express myself–and my style–in every partnership.

Lulus: We love it! How would you describe your style?

NM: Casual chic, effortless, and timeless.

Lulus: How has your style evolved since your first Lulus moment?

NM: I’ve been stepping away from really trendy pieces. Instead, I’m opting for more timeless pieces that I can use for different occasions like a good pair of jeans, dress pants, a white t-shirt, leather jacket, neutral flats/heels, black booties, and a nice dress you can dress up and dress down! I love the variety you guys offer!

Lulus: It’s Hispanic Heritage Month right now–how does your heritage influence the way you dress?

NM: I love being Dominican and sharing bits of my culture with my followers in all sorts of ways. But I’d say my culture is full of colors so I love wearing pops of color that accentuates my Latina body and skin tone!

Lulus: What’s the one item in your wardrobe you can’t live without?

NM: A nice, neutral, long coat! Living in New York, I find that having a long, neutral coat is a staple piece to have in your wardrobe, it quickly elevates any outfit while providing warmth.

Lulus: You got engaged last year–congrats! How would you describe your bridal style?

NM: I’d describe it as earthy, classic, and timeless!

Lulus: Are there any cultural traditions you’re incorporating into your wedding?

NM: I was raised by a single mom, so I will be walking down the aisle with my mom and having a mother-daughter dance–with a Latin song!

Lulus: That is so lovely! Who is your personal fashion icon/style crush?

NM: Zendaya all the way–I love how effortlessly chic she always looks, specially with her red carpet looks.

Lulus: What fashion trends are you excited about for fall? 

NM: I love anything leather, flannels, and layering for the fall.

Lulus: Yes! Are there any fall activities you’re excited to do this season?

NM: I can’t wait to head upstate and enjoy the beautiful foliage!

Lulus: Is there any advice you’d give your younger self?

NM: Always follow your dreams, anything is possible when you work hard and have discipline!
