Who doesn’t love a good pitcher of sangria? Now imagine a sangria packed with the flavor of fall. We’re using apples, oranges, lemons, apple cider, and ginger beer to bring fall flavor to everyone’s favorite celebratory drink.

This crisp apple cider sangria recipe is perfect for a special occasion! (Perhaps a bridal shower? A Halloween party? A night with the girls?) No matter when and where you’re serving, it promises to please. Scroll on to find out all about our new favorite fall drink–and how to make it!

What Even Is Sangria?

We’ve all heard of sangria, and most of us have probably had it a time or two, but what’s the real scoop behind this fruity beverage?

Traditional sangria comes from Spain and Portugal, and is made with red wine, seasonal fruits, and spirits. The exact recipe is ever-changing since every household makes its own unique sangria using personal favorite ingredients and secret proportions.

Today, cocktail and wine lovers have remixed the sangria (no pun intended) to include a wide variety of wine, fruits, and additional ingredients. To be considered a sangria, it has to have wine and it has to have fruit, but the rest is really up to you!

Introducing Apple Cider Sangria

Apple Cider Sangria is the best drink to get you in the fall spirit! It’s incredibly easy to make (we’re talking almost zero effort here), it’s extra delicious, and it’s so refreshing, too. Once you’re ready to serve this festive drink, spruce up your glasses with a maple syrup and sugar rim! This is optional, but it adds to the celebratory feel of this drink and only takes a few extra minutes.

Pop in a cinnamon stick, and enjoy the fall goodness of this Apple Cider Sangria!
