Hello, margarita season! Warm weather approaches, and with it, the promise of delicious summer sips on the horizon. May I suggest you begin your summer series with these easy Frozen Peach Margaritas? They’re made with your basic margarita ingredients–tequila, triple sec, and lime juice–but amped up with the addition of frozen peaches and spicy glass rims!

Blend everything up and pour it into a sugar and spiced glass, pop a lime wedge on top, and pretend you are on your very own island paradise. For a fun twist, you can use limeade in place of the lime juice in your peach frozen margarita. Or, if you’re like me and have a constant supply of assorted frozen fruits in the freezer, swap in frozen strawberries, blackberries, cherries, or mangoes for half of the peaches.

If you have a large gathering, you can easily scale up this peach margarita recipe. Frozen margaritas are fantastic for summer gatherings like barbecues, garden parties, pool parties, brunch… really, a margarita is welcome anywhere!

You can even set up a margarita station with different options for the glass rims – plates with agave, and plates with spicy salt, spicy sugar, and plain salt or sugar for anyone who prefers to pass on the spice.

Let your guests choose their own adventure with their glass rims, then pass around a pitcher of frozen peach margaritas for all to enjoy! This drink is sure to be a hit at any and all summer occasions. Scroll on for the complete recipe–and happy sipping!

Peach Frozen Margaritas with Spicy Rims

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 3 drinks

Ingredients

    • 5 ounces tequila
    • 2-3 ounces triple sec
    • ⅓ cup lime juice (or limeade for a fun twist!)
    • 2 Tbsp agave, plus more to taste
    • 3 cups frozen peach slices
    • A handful or two of ice

You can scale this recipe up or down as needed.

Instructions

Step 1: Prep your rim station by adding a little agave to a small plate. Then, add coarse sugar or salt mixed with chili powder to another plate. Just before you’re ready to pour the drinks, dip the rims of your glasses in the agave, then in the spicy salt/sugar mixture.

Step 2: Add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender, starting with the liquids and ending with the frozen peaches, agave, and ice.

Step 3: Blend on high until well blended.

Step 4: Pour the margaritas into your prepared glasses and enjoy immediately!
