You’ve been invited to a wedding, and you are so excited to see your loved one get married. You’ve chosen a gorgeous wedding guest outfit and a fabulous pair of shoes, and you’ve booked a cozy hotel to enjoy after the event. Now, it’s time for what most wedding guests leave for the last minute: the hair.
This look is inspired by a whimsical, earthy, boho style, and is a super easy wedding guest hairstyle to pull off so you can get ready quickly and still feel confident. Without further ado, here’s one of my favorite ponytail hairstyles, for weddings, or for any occasion where you want to infuse a little of the boho vibe.
Step 1: Make an even center part, then section out two symmetrical pieces on either side of your face.
Step 2: Braid each piece, securing the ends with elastic.
Step 3: Pull the rest of your hair into a low ponytail.
Step 4: Bring the two braided pieces together behind your head, and secure them together with a thin elastic that blends well with your hair color. Remove the original elastics used to secure the individual braids.
Step 5: Twist the braids ounce, creating a loop.
Step 6: Pull the ponytail up and through the braid loop from the back. Lift the hair and tighten the elastic to secure the ponytail.
Step 7: Tease the ponytail for added volume, or hit it with a curling iron to create loose, wavy curls!
Step 8: I love how simple and elegant this look is on its own, but if you want to add a little bit of glam to this cute ponytail, try clipping in a hair accessory like a decorative pin or an elegant hair comb.
What I love about a look like this, is how easy it is to dress up or down. Whether you’re attending a black-tie event or a truly nature-inspired boho wedding, this look will fit in and stand out.
