This is not a drill: Fall is back!
Pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, and witchy vibes are back in season, and we are so excited to break our autumn wardrobe out of storage. We are so excited for Fall 2022’s trends that we can hardly wait, so without further ado, let’s dive into what you should be wearing this season.
Before we highlight the must-have colors of the season, there are a few important fashion details to keep an eye out for this autumn. Whether your style is chic and preppy or casual and grungy, incorporating some of these details into your outfits will help you stay on trend.
Practical and stylish, we’re going to be seeing lots of layered outerwear this season. Sweaters layered with leather jackets and light blazers will be everywhere, and we’ll definitely be seeing some flowier silhouettes to make layering easier.
Textured fabrics give an outfit added depth, and can make a solid color look more interesting. For Fall 2022, expect fabrics like corduroy, velvet, and faux fur to be trending.
Bright, eye-catching prints were it for summer, but for fall, we’ll be seeing more elegant, moody, romantic prints. Think burnout and floral jacquards, embroidered designs, and patterns in rich, dramatic hues.
Like faux fur, vegan leather will be taking off for Autumn 2022. Fashion babes will be sporting vegan leather accessories like shoes, purses, and more, but vegan leather jackets, pants, skirts, and dresses are also adding a luxe touch to your looks this season–in an affordable way!
Evergreen is a deep, rich, almost emerald shade of green that feels oh-so-appropriate for the fall and holiday seasons. A super versatile shade, evergreen dresses feel so elegant, but the shade can also be worn casually as a simple t-shirt or cardigan.
Like a deeper, moodier greenish blue, teal is poppy enough to be a beautiful accent or accessory color, but can easily be worn as a full outfit. Evocative of wintery ocean water, teal is a luxe color to wear to a fall event.
Sapphire blue is a stunning, almost cerulean shade of blue that is perfect for the transition from summer to fall. Bright and cheerful enough to be worn on a sunny fall day, but still rich and jewel-toned enough to be a fall staple, we love wearing this blue as soon as the weather starts to change.
Berry pink is the perfect shade of pink for the pink-hesitant. Even if pink isn’t usually your color, we know you can rock this red-leaning shade. Like cherry and bubblegum combined, this hue is especially gorgeous when contrasted with a neutral shade.
Feeling your Barbiecore fantasy this fall? Break out the hot pink pieces! For fall, you can opt for a slightly muted hot pink, and we think this shade is especially gorgeous when paired with denim, or worn as a pop of color on an all-black outfit.
Like the sophisticated version of Barbiecore pink, magenta feels like all the best fall fruits: cranberries, plums, and pomegranates. This berry tone feels strong and professional, and is the perfect hue to choose for workday outfits that could use a shot of color.
Purple shades are a quintessential fall staple, and we couldn’t create a guide to fall colors without this stunning shade. Yummy, almost sweet looking, and so flattering on everyone, we love plum everything for fall. Seriously, there’s never too much plum, and we love a monochrome look using this shade.
